Frequently Asked Questions - WD-1000TR Edimax

How do I set up the Edimax WD-1000TR AV extender?

Connect the transmitter to your source device (e.g., Blu-ray player) via HDMI and power it on. Connect the receiver to your display (e.g., TV) via HDMI and power it on. The devices will automatically pair within seconds if they are on the same wireless channel.

What is the maximum range of the WD-1000TR?

The wireless range is up to 100 meters in open line-of-sight conditions. Walls and obstacles may reduce the effective range.

Does the WD-1000TR support 4K resolution?

No, the maximum supported resolution is 1080p Full HD. It is not designed for 4K signals.

Can I use multiple receivers with one transmitter?

No, the WD-1000TR is a 1:1 point-to-point extender. It does not support multi-receiver broadcasting.

How do I reset the device to factory settings?

Press and hold the Reset button (located on the side) for 10 seconds using a paperclip. The LEDs will flash to confirm reset.

Why is there no video signal after connection?

Ensure both devices are powered and the HDMI cables are securely connected. Check if the source device is outputting at a compatible resolution (1080p or lower). Try moving the transmitter and receiver closer together.

What does the LED indicator mean?

Power LED: solid green when powered. Link LED: flashes when searching for connection, solid green when linked. Signal LED: indicates signal strength.

Can I use the WD-1000TR with a projector?

Yes, as long as the projector has an HDMI input. The extender works with any HDMI-compatible display.

Does it support audio return channel (ARC)?

No, the WD-1000TR does not support HDMI ARC. It transmits video and audio only in one direction (source to display).

How to clean and maintain the extender?

Use a soft, dry cloth to wipe the surfaces. Do not use liquids or chemicals. Keep the ventilation slots free of dust.
