Iron-on hemming strip makes it easy to shorten the cot skirt to the right length for the cot.

1 Measure how long you want your cot skirt to be. 2 Lay the skirt with the reverse side facing upwards. Fold up the hem (but don't put the hemming strip in place yet!) and iron the fold.

3 Now place the hemming strip inside the fold. Cover the fold with a damp cloth.

4 Iron with a pressing action until the fabric is dry. Repeat on the entire fold.

5 Allow to cool before checking. Then cut away any unwanted fabric and the cot skirt is ready!

If the hemming strip comes loose in the wash, simply iron it back in place again using the same method as above.
