Frequently Asked Questions - U3 Xvive

How do I pair the transmitter and receiver?
Simply turn both devices on and ensure they are set to the same channel using the channel switch. The transmitter and receiver will automatically link; the RF LED on the receiver will light up when the connection is successful.
What is the battery life and how do I charge the U3?
The U3 offers up to 5 hours of battery life. Charging is done via the USB port with the included cable. Turn off the power switch while charging, and avoid using the unit during charging to maximize battery lifespan. A full charge takes approximately 2.5 hours.
Can I use the Xvive U3 with any microphone?
The U3 transmitter accepts XLR male input and is designed for XLR dynamic microphones and battery-powered condenser microphones. It cannot be used with passive ribbon or phantom-powered condenser microphones unless they have an internal battery or external power.
How do I change the channel if the switch is locked?
The channel switch locks after 15 seconds to prevent accidental changes. To unlock, double-click the channel button. Then you can press the button to cycle through channels 1–6. Both transmitter and receiver must be set to the same channel.
Why is there no sound even though the devices are on?
Check that the RF LED on the receiver is lit, indicating a link. Ensure the microphone is turned on (if battery-powered) and that the input gain is set correctly. Also verify that the volume on your mixer or speaker is turned up. If the RF LED is off, the transmitter and receiver may be on different channels.
How can I improve signal stability if the RF LED flickers?
Keep the receiver at least 3 meters away from Wi-Fi routers or other 2.4 GHz devices. Try changing to a different channel on both units. If interference persists, shorten the distance between transmitter and receiver.
Can I use multiple receivers with one transmitter?
Yes, one transmitter can be used with multiple receivers as long as they are all set to the same channel. This is useful for sending the same audio signal to multiple destinations.
What is the maximum range of the U3 system?
The specified range is up to 27 meters (90 feet) in open space. Actual range may be shorter due to obstacles, RF interference, and signal absorption. For best results, maintain line-of-sight between transmitter and receiver.
Is the U3 compatible with active speakers?
Yes. The receiver outputs a balanced XLR signal that can be plugged directly into active speakers, mixers, recorders, or any device with an XLR input. Use the Line mode (-10 dB) when connecting to line-level inputs.
How should I clean and maintain the Xvive U3?
Clean the housing with a soft, slightly damp cloth. Do not use solvents or abrasive cleaners. Avoid exposure to moisture, extreme temperatures, and direct sunlight. When not in use for extended periods, store in a cool, dry place and recharge the batteries every three months to maintain battery health.

2.4 GHz WIRELESS OVERVIEW AND INTERFERENCE

The U3 operates in the 2.4 GHz ISM band, the same band used by Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and other wireless systems. 2.4 GHz is an open band and as such does not require a license to operate worldwide.

Tips and Methods to improve the performance of the wireless system

1) Keep more than 3 meters distance between the U3 receiver and other transmitters such as Wi-Fi routers.
2) If you experience interference from Wi-Fi devices in the vicinity, try changing to a different channel on the U3 transmitter and receiver.
3) If necessary, shorten the distance between the U3 receiver and transmitter.
