Frequently Asked Questions - SA Cockpit (microphone Zen) System Audio

How do I set up the Zen microphone for the first time?
Connect the Zen microphone to power using the supplied cable and charge it. Press the button briefly to power it on. The LED will blink white rapidly, signaling Bluetooth setup mode. Then open the SA Cockpit app, select your hub, go to Room Service / Room Correction, and choose 'Zen' when it appears.
What WiFi network does the Zen microphone support?
The Zen microphone supports only 2.4 GHz WiFi. It does not work with 5 GHz networks. Make sure to select a 2.4 GHz SSID during setup. For mesh systems, temporarily disable the 5 GHz band.
How long does the room correction measurement take?
The ideal measurement time is 60 seconds. In rooms smaller than 20 m², you may stop after 30 seconds. The microphone automatically sends the recorded data to the SA Cockpit app via WiFi.
What do the LED colors indicate?
Green solid means powered on or fully charged. Red solid means recording or charging. Red blinking indicates less than 20% battery. White fast blinking means ready for Bluetooth configuration, and white slow blinking means searching for a WiFi network. LED off means powered off.
How do I perform a factory reset?
Press and hold the button for 10 seconds until the LED flashes white. This resets the microphone to factory settings.
Why is my Zen microphone not found in the app?
Power cycle the microphone, toggle Bluetooth off/on on your phone, remove any old 'Zen' device from Bluetooth settings, and move closer. If it still fails, perform a factory reset by holding the button for 10 seconds.
Can I use the phone's built-in microphone instead of Zen?
The manual specifies that Android users must use the Zen microphone instead of the phone's built-in microphone. The Zen microphone provides more accurate room analysis.
How should I move the microphone during measurement?
Walk slowly around the entire room in calm circles, moving the microphone up and down from waist height to above head level. Reach into corners and along walls, keep the front pointed toward the speakers, and avoid standing between the microphone and the speakers. Maintain a minimum distance of 1.5 meters from all speakers.
What is included in the box?
The box contains 1 × Zen microphone and 1 × power cable. No other accessories are included.
How do I power off the Zen microphone?
Press and hold the button for 2 seconds to power off. The device also auto-powers off after 10 minutes of inactivity.
