Estimado cliente,
General safety instructions
- Read this manual carefully before installation and use.
- Keep all documentation for future reference and give it to any future owner.
- This pergola / garden pavilion is intended solely for domestic outdoor use as sun and light weather protection (shade and shelter).
- Any modification or improper installation may lead to structural failure or personal injury. Children and pets must be supervised in and around the pergola.
- Do not permit climbing on or playing with the frame, especially near corners, supports or side panels.
- If the pergola includes movable roof or side panels (e.g., roller-side panels), ensure they are operated only by competent adults.
- The polyester roof material (and side panels) may be flammable under certain conditions; keep away from open flames, grills, heaters or other ignition sources.
- Maintain a minimum distance of 1.5 m between any external heat source and the structure of the pergola.
- Do not smoke or use open-flame candles directly beneath the roof cover or inside the pavilion. Using non-original components, incorrect installation, or ignoring these safety instructions may void the warranty.
- The manufacturer accepts no liability for damage or injury caused by misuse, overloading, or extreme weather events.
Notes on installation and assembly
- Installation must be carried out by persons competent in steel/metal-frame construction and proper anchoring methods.
- Install only on a solid, level, load-bearing surface (e.g., fully cured concrete slab, stone or properly reinforced decking).
- Before drilling or anchoring, check for hidden electrical, gas or water lines beneath or near the surface.
- Use only the original fasteners and anchors supplied or explicitly approved by the manufacturer.
- During assembly, use at least two persons to avoid injury and ensure stability.
Avoid assembly during windy conditions; ensure all parts are temporarily secured until the structure is fully anchored. - The structure must be anchored in accordance with the manufacturer's instructions and local building or anchoring standards (including wind and snow loads applicable in your region).
- Although this pavilion is designed for year-round outdoor use, it is not intended for extreme conditions (such as severe storms, heavy snowfall or large hail) unless the manufacturer explicitly confirms suitability.
Notes on operation
- In wind speeds in excess of the values specified by the manufacturer (or e.g., 50 km/h as a guideline), remove or secure any loose covers, roof/fabric panels or side panels to prevent damage.
- The polyester roof (and side panels) is water-repellent (e.g., 180 g/m 2 PU-coated) but not guaranteed fully waterproof; remove standing water quickly to avoid sagging or damage to fabric or frame.
- Do not climb on, sit upon or suspend objects from the frame or roof or side panels. Avoid attaching heavy decorations, lights or planters which may exceed the design load of the structure.
- Keep all joints, roller mechanisms, tracks and mechanical parts free of obstruction and clean.
- If the pavilion is fitted with electrical accessories (e.g., LED lighting), these must comply with applicable low-voltage and safety directives (such as the Low Voltage Directive 2014/35/EU) and must be installed by a qualified electrician.
Notes on maintenance and inspection
- Inspect all screws, bolts and anchoring points at least twice per year and after any significant weather event.
- Tighten any loose fasteners or connections immediately.
- Clean the polyester roof/fabric only with lukewarm water and mild soap. Do not use solvents, bleach or high-pressure washers.
- Remove leaves, dirt, snow or other debris promptly to maintain structural stability and prevent corrosion of the frame.
- Lubricate moving or hinged parts (e.g., roller side panels) with a suitable non-resinous lubricant. Replace any damaged parts only with original spare parts in order to maintain the safety certification and structural integrity.
- Carry out a seasonal inspection (e.g., in spring and autumn).
- Remove heavy snow loads immediately (if snow is present); if the manufacturer's specification does not cover heavy snow loads, the pavilion should be cleared or dismantled when required.
- If the structure is installed in a corrosive environment (e.g., near the sea, swimming pool with salt water or where de-icing salts are used), apply appropriate corrosion protection annually.
