Routing the RGB and speaker wires / Orienting the mounting bracket
- Remove the 4 M6 screws from the top of the mounting bracket using the supplied allen wrench (Figure 1.1).
- Remove the bottom rubber gasket.
- Connect the 6-pin RGB/Speaker cable to the speaker's input, then route the cable through the bottom rubber gasket. Be sure to select which of the 3 widths of rubber gaskets you will be using at this time.
NOTE: Alternatively, you may loosen and remove the remaining M6 allen screws in order to remove the mounting bracket's bottom part, allowing easier access to connecting the 6-pin RGB/Speaker cable (Figure 1.2). If you need to disconnect the 6-pin RGB/Speaker cable, simply remove the rubber plug illustrated in Figure 1.2 and insert one of the included allen wrenches into the hole, pressing in on the connector's release.
NOTE: If routing the cable to a separate exposed area outside of the bracket's width, remove the rubber plug from the bottom rubber gasket and route cable through its round opening. If routing the cable directly into an opening within the width of the bracket, route the cable directly through the bottom rubber gasket's rectangular opening.
4. Re-insert the bottom rubber gasket to the bottom of the bracket, then re-attach the mounting bracket's top part using the 4 M6 screws. Be sure to attach the proper thickness of top rubber gaskets for your application.
5. Loosen each of the 2 M4 screws and rotate the bracket to your desired orientation, then re-tighten the screws (Figure 1.3).
6. If mounting the tower speaker to a bottom-facing bar, remove the 6 phillips screws holding the speaker in place, rotate the speaker 180 degrees, and then re-insert and re-tighten the 6 phillips screws (Figure 1.4).
NOTE: When mounting the tower speaker to a bottom-facing bar, the rear eXcelon logo can be also be twisted by hand to match the proper orientation (Figure 1.5).

WARNING
Remove the ignition key and disconnect the negative terminal of the battery to prevent short circuits.
CAUTION
Check that no unconnected wires or connectors are touching the metal parts or car body.
Wiring
- In a computer-equipped boat/vehicle, when you remove the terminal of the battery, the memory may disappear, or a defect may occur in the electrical system of the boat/vehicle. Consult your dealer for further details.
- Do not allow the wire to directly contact the edge of the iron plate by using grommets.
- Do not turn the power on if the ground wire is not connected.
Connect the ground wire to a metal part of the car chassis that acts as an electrical ground passing electricity to the battery's negative terminal.
Connecting the RGB receiver and speaker wires (Figure 2.1)
- Connect the 4-wire RGB wires (R,Y,B,G) from the RGB Receiver to the matching wires from the 6-pin speaker wires (R,Y,B,G) that plug into the speaker.
- Connect the White (+) and Black (-) wires from the 6-PIN speaker plug to the amplifier output terminal or receiver output wires.
- Connect the Red wire from the RGB Receiver to the 12V switched power of the vessel/vehicle.
- Connect the Black wire from the RGB Receiver to the Chassis Ground or the battery negative post.
NOTE: Connect both speaker connectors to the single RGB Receiver.
NOTE: If the RGB wires need to be extended, be sure to use the proper18-gauge wire.
NOTE: If the speaker wires need to be extended, be sure to use the proper 16-gauge wire.
☒ Be careful not to bring the connection cord in contact with the speaker.
The speaker becomes hot after extended operation. If a cord contacts a hot speaker, the cord coating may melt and cause short-circuiting, which makes the speaker unable to output the sound.
☒ Connect to an amplifier with an RMS power equal to or lower than that of the speaker.
If the RMS power of the amplifier is higher than that of the speaker, try the following measures;
- Increase the speakers and connect them in series.
- Reduce volume.
- Reduce the input sensitivity of amplifier.
Do not exceed the impedance value with which the amplifier operation is guaranteed.
When using multiple speakers, calculate their total impedance and use an impedance value within the range in which the operation of the amplifier is guaranteed.

☒ Remote Control (Figure 2.2)
CAUTION
Do not leave or install the remote control in hot places such as on the dashboard.

☒ To release battery, depress pin, and pull out battery tray.
☒ Replace battery and replace tray.
CAUTION
- Risk of fire or explosion if the battery is replaced by an incorrect type. Use a button battery CR2025 (use only the approved battery).
- Risk of fire, explosion or the leakage of flammable liquid or gas if the battery is left in an extremely high temperature surrounding environment and/or subjected extremely low air pressure. The battery pack or batteries shall not be exposed to excessive heat such as sunshine, fire or the like.
- Risk of fire, explosion or the leakage of flammable liquid or gas if the battery is disposed into fire or a hot oven, recharged, shorted, mechanically crushed or cut of the battery.
- If spilled fluid comes in contact with your eyes or on clothing, immediately rinse with water and consult a physician.
Remove insulation sheet before initial use.
