Frequently Asked Questions - POMA60PFIL Point

How do I clean the grease filter on the Point POMA60PFIL?
Remove the aluminium grease filter and wash it with warm soapy water or in the dishwasher. Dry it thoroughly before reinstalling. Clean it at least once a month for optimal performance.
Can I use the cooker hood in recirculation mode without an external duct?
Yes, the POMA60PFIL can be used in recirculation mode. You must install an activated charcoal filter to absorb odours. The charcoal filter needs to be replaced every 3-6 months.
What is the correct installation height above an electric hob?
For electric hobs, install the hood at a minimum height of 65 cm from the cooking surface to ensure safe and efficient operation. For gas hobs, the minimum is 75 cm.
Why is the hood noisy at maximum speed?
The noise level at maximum speed is around 65 dB, which is normal. To reduce noise, use lower speeds for everyday cooking and reserve the highest speed for intense odours or steam.
How do I replace the LED lamp on the Point POMA60PFIL?
Make sure the hood is unplugged. Gently remove the lamp cover, disconnect the faulty LED module, and replace it with a compatible 3W LED module. Press the cover back into place and restore power.
Can the grease filter be washed in the dishwasher?
Yes, the aluminium grease filter is dishwasher-safe. Place it vertically in the dishwasher to allow proper rinsing. After washing, let it dry completely before putting it back.
What duct diameter is required for extraction mode?
The POMA60PFIL is designed for a 150 mm duct. Use rigid or flexible ducting of the same diameter to minimise air resistance and noise.
How often should I replace the activated charcoal filter?
Replace the charcoal filter every 3 to 6 months, depending on usage. Regular replacement is essential in recirculation mode to keep the air fresh and maintain motor efficiency.
Does the hood have an overheat protection function?
Yes, the motor includes a thermal overload cut-out. If the motor overheats, it automatically shuts off to prevent damage. Wait for it to cool down and then restart the hood.
What is the warranty period for the Point POMA60PFIL?
The Point POMA60PFIL comes with a standard manufacturer warranty of 2 years from the date of purchase. Keep your receipt or invoice for warranty claims.
