How do I set up the WS-9760U-IT weather station?
Insert 2 AA batteries into the outdoor sensor first, then into the display unit. Place the sensor outdoors in a shaded location within 330 feet of the display. The display will automatically synchronize with the sensor within a few minutes.
What does the weather forecast icon mean?
The weather forecast icon uses barometric pressure changes to predict weather for the next 12–24 hours. Icons include sunny, partly cloudy, cloudy, rainy, and stormy. Note that it is a prediction, not current conditions.
Why is my outdoor sensor not reading?
Check that batteries are fresh and inserted correctly. Ensure the sensor is within range (330 feet open air) and not blocked by metal or concrete. Try resetting the display by removing batteries for 10 seconds.
How often does the temperature and humidity update?
The indoor readings update every few seconds. Outdoor readings update approximately every 60 seconds from the sensor.
Can I add additional sensors?
The WS-9760U-IT supports up to 3 outdoor sensors (one included). Additional sensors can be purchased separately (model TX-141TH-Bv2 or compatible). Each sensor must be registered to a different channel (A, B, C).
How do I change the batteries?
For the display: remove the battery compartment cover on the back, replace 2 AA batteries. For the sensor: slide off the cover, replace 2 AA batteries. After changing batteries, allow 10 minutes for re-synchronization.
What is the moon phase display?
The moon phase shows the current phase of the moon based on the date. It cycles through 8 phases: new, waxing crescent, first quarter, waxing gibbous, full, waning gibbous, last quarter, waning crescent.
How do I reset the weather station?
Press and hold the RESET button on the back of the display for 5 seconds using a paperclip. Alternatively, remove all batteries and wait 30 seconds before reinserting.
The time is wrong. How do I set it manually?
Press and hold the SET button for 3 seconds. Use the + or - buttons to adjust hour, minute, year, month, day. Press SET to confirm each step. The atomic clock will also automatically synchronize with the WWVB signal daily.
Can I mount the display on a wall?
Yes. The display has a fold-out stand for tabletop use and a keyhole slot on the back for wall mounting. Use a screw (not included) appropriate for your wall type.
