Frequently Asked Questions - FGC 625 XS NP FRANKE

How to install the Franke FGC 625 XS NP hood?
Installation must be carried out by a qualified professional. Ensure the hood is securely fixed to the wall at a height of 65 to 75 cm above the cooking surface. Respect safety distances and use a 150 mm diameter exhaust duct if opting for external extraction.
How to clean the grease filters?
Metal grease filters can be cleaned in the dishwasher or by hand with warm soapy water. Let them dry completely before putting them back. Clean them every month to maintain performance.
The hood makes noise, is this normal?
A noise level up to 65 dB(A) at maximum speed is normal. If the noise is excessive, check that the filters are clean and the exhaust duct is not obstructed. Improper installation can also cause vibrations.
When to replace the charcoal filter?
The charcoal filter must be replaced every 6 months, or more often if you cook a lot. It is not washable. Use only compatible Franke filters (see manual).
Can I use the hood in recirculation mode?
Yes, the Franke FGC 625 XS NP hood can operate in recirculation mode. You need to install a recirculation kit with a charcoal filter (not supplied) and an air deflector. Follow the installation instructions in the manual.
Is the remote control provided?
No, this hood is equipped with mechanical slider controls. There is no remote control. Speeds and lighting are adjusted manually on the device.
What are the exact dimensions?
The hood measures 60 cm width, 50 cm depth, and a height of 65 cm in low position (may vary depending on installation). Check the available space before purchase.
Can I install it above an induction hob?
Yes, this hood is compatible with all cooktops, including induction. Maintain a minimum distance of 65 cm between the hood and the hob for electric/induction hobs (75 cm for gas).
What to do if the hood does not turn on?
First check the power supply (fuse, circuit breaker). If the lighting does not work, the LED bulbs may be defective (contact customer service). If the motor does not start, the capacitor or motor may be faulty.
Where to find spare parts?
Spare parts (filters, bulbs, motor) are available from Franke after-sales service or specialized websites. Use the exact model reference FGC 625 XS NP to order.

When the cooker hood is used in conjunction with appliances supplied with energy other than electric, the negative pressure in the room must not exceed 0.04 mbar to prevent fumes being drawn back into the room by the cooker hood. - The air must not be discharged into a flue that is used for exhausting fumes from appliances burning gas or other fuels. - If the supply cord is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer or its service agent. - Connect the plug to a socket complying with current regulations, located in an
