Can I use the KeyStep MkII with hardware synthesizers?
Yes, the KeyStep MkII has traditional 5-pin MIDI In/Out, as well as CV/Gate outputs for controlling analog synthesizers. You can also sync tempo via the Sync In/Out jacks.
How do I use the built-in arpeggiator?
Press the Arp button to engage the arpeggiator. Use the Rate knob to set speed, and hold a chord to hear it arpeggiated. You can change pattern types (up, down, random, etc.) by pressing the Pattern button and turning a knob.
What is the sequencer capacity?
The sequencer has 64 steps per pattern and can store up to 8 patterns. You can record in real time or step by step. Patterns can be chained for longer sequences.
How do I transpose the keyboard?
Press the Shift button and then press the Octave +/- buttons to transpose up/down by semitones. The display will show the current transpose value.
Does the KeyStep MkII support aftertouch?

Can I power the KeyStep MkII without USB?
Yes, you can use an optional 5V DC power supply (center positive, 500mA minimum). If powered externally, the USB port still works for MIDI communication but not for power.
How do I update the firmware?
Download the Arturia MIDI Control Center software from the Arturia website. Connect the KeyStep MkII via USB, launch the app, and follow the instructions to update to the latest firmware.
What is chord mode and how do I use it?
