Frequently Asked Questions - CSD130 Carlsbro

How do I assemble the Carlsbro CSD130 drum set?
Refer to the user manual for step-by-step assembly. Generally, attach the pads to the rack using the provided clamps, connect the cables to the sound module, and plug in the power adapter.
How can I adjust the sensitivity of the drum pads?
Access the sound module's settings menu to adjust pad sensitivity. Look for 'Pad Settings' or 'Trigger Settings' and modify the threshold and velocity curves as needed.
Can I use headphones with the CSD130?
Yes, plug your headphones into the 'Headphone' output jack on the sound module for silent practice. This automatically mutes the built-in speakers.
Can I load my own drum samples into the module?
The CSD130 does not support custom sample loading. However, you can connect it to a computer via USB MIDI and use virtual drum instruments on your DAW.
How do I connect the drum set to a computer?
Use a USB cable to connect the 'USB MIDI' port on the module to your computer. Your DAW should recognize it as a MIDI input device. Install drivers if necessary (usually plug-and-play).
What should I do if a pad does not trigger sound?
First, check cable connections between pad and module. Ensure the cable is fully inserted. Then, test the pad by tapping near the center. If still no sound, try resetting the module or adjusting trigger settings.
How do I change the drum kit sound?
Press the 'Kit' button on the module and use the +/- buttons or dial to select from the 20 preset drum kits. Each kit offers a different sound set (e.g., rock, jazz, electronic).
Can I record my playing on the CSD130?
The module does not have built-in recording. To record, connect the audio output to a recording device or interface, or use a computer via USB to record MIDI data in a DAW.
What is the warranty period for the Carlsbro CSD130?
The product comes with a 1-year limited warranty covering manufacturing defects. Register your product online to activate the warranty.
How should I clean the drum pads and cymbals?
Use a soft, dry cloth to gently wipe the pads and cymbals. Avoid using liquids or abrasive cleaners, as they may damage the playing surface or electronics.

LOF Song Voice Kit

Local control: used to control the connection of trigger detection and the audio source sequencer. In the default ON status, the two modules are connected. Striking the pad will generate sound and it outputs the relative MIDI signal. When this function is turned off, the audio source module will not be controlled by the trigger directly, but will controlled by the MIDI input signal.

8. Reset setting

Hold [TEMPO+] and [SET UP] button at the same time. It reset back to the factory setting:

All user drum kits: voice/volume/pan/tuning

Practical setting: sensitivity/crosstalk rejection/striking force curve

9. MIDI setting

This equipment is compatible with various MIDI devices and can be used as a trigger device or audio source. It is also compatible with part of the GM standard, and can be used with many audio sequencer software programs.

MIDI connection

MIDI IN: receives external MIDI signals when connected to external MIDI devices.

MIDI OUT: sends external MIDI signals when connected to external MIDI devices.

USB: the standard USB2.0 interface can be connected to standard USB MIDI devices or a PC.

The operating system has its driver, so there is no need for repeated installation. It is compatible with computer systems such as XP, Win7, Vista, and Mac OSX. After connection, the system recognizes this equipment as a USB COMPOSITE DEVICE.

(USB is only used when connected to MIDI devices)

Note: when USB is connected to a PC, all MIDI data can be sent or received via USB.

Connect with external audio source equipment

This equipment can send its various information via channel 10, including: trigger notes, force, hi-hat pedal performance and status, etc.

(Note: the song replaying and metronome information cannot be sent)

Use the external audio sequencer to record the performance

1). Connect an external audio sequencer or PC via MIDI OUT or USB. 2). Set the equipment to channel 10 in the audio sequencer or in the sequence software, and then start recording. 3). Play the pads. 4). Stop the performance and recording, and listen to the performance.

Used as audio source equipment

When connecting with an external MIDI keyboard or audio sequencer via MIDI OUT or USB cable, it receives its MIDI output signal. At this time, this equipment can play the effective signals. The output voice changes as the drum kit is switched. This equipment has most of the GM voices. Users can establish user drum kits. Refer to the MIDI List for MIDI information.
