How do I register an additional handset to the AS405A Duo base?
Press and hold the paging key on the base for 3 seconds until the registration LED flashes. On the handset, go to Settings > Handset > Register and enter the base PIN (default: 0000).
What is the range of the AS405A Duo?
The indoor range is approximately 50 meters, and outdoor range up to 300 meters, depending on obstacles and interference.
Can I use the phone during a power outage?
No. The base station requires AC power. During a power outage, the phone will not function unless you have a backup power source for the base.
How do I replace the batteries?
Open the battery compartment on the back of the handset. Replace the two AAA NiMH rechargeable batteries with new ones of the same type. Do not use non-rechargeable batteries.
Why is there no dial tone?
Check that the handset is registered to the base and within range. Ensure the base is powered and the telephone line cord is connected correctly. Press the talk key to take the line.
How do I set the date and time?
Press Menu, select Settings > Date/Time. Use the keypad to enter the current date and time, then Save. The date and time are also automatically updated via the network if supported.
Can I use the handset as an intercom?
Yes. From one handset, press Int (or Menu > Intercom). Select the desired handset number. The other handset will ring. Accept the call to speak.
How many entries can the phonebook store?
The phonebook can store up to 100 contacts. Each entry can include a name and up to two phone numbers.
What should I do if the handset displays 'No Base'?
The handset is out of range or not registered. Move closer to the base. If the problem persists, re-register the handset: press the paging key on the base for 5 seconds and follow the handset registration process.
Is the AS405A Duo compatible with an answering machine?
