How do I program the schedule?
Press the Program button, use arrow keys to set time and temperature for each period (Morning, Day, Evening, Night). Repeat for each day or copy one day to others.

It uses 2 AA alkaline batteries. Replace them once a year or when the low battery indicator appears.
How do I reset the thermostat to factory defaults?
Press and hold the Reset button (located in the battery compartment) for 5 seconds using a paperclip. This clears all settings.
Is the thermostat compatible with my HVAC system?
The E-Control works with most 24V systems (gas, oil, electric, heat pump). Check compatibility with your system voltage and wiring.
Why is the display blank?

First, replace the batteries. If still unresponsive, perform a reset. If frozen, remove batteries for 30 seconds and reinsert.
How should I clean the thermostat?
Wipe the exterior with a soft, dry cloth. Do not use water or cleaning agents. Avoid spraying liquids directly.

Dated March 1 st 2004

Important:

Switch off power before connecting or disconnecting wiring to thermostat.

A qualified electrician to current IEE regulations must install all wiring, failure to do so may invalidate the warranty.

Introduction:

The ME-control thermostat is very user friendly and has intelligent software to guide the user throughout the whole menu-structure. The thermostat is capable of switching your underfloor heating system on and off, up to four different times of the day. The ME-control has an automatic Setback period. The setback periods are the events between your comfort periods. This will lower your room temperature as well as your energy costs without reducing the comfort.

In order to program just follow the onscreen information, you will be guided through the different menus and functions automatically.

Nevertheless it is strongly recommended to study the operators manual carefully and keep it for future reference.

The ME-Control has a 3-button structure:

Middle button : Selection button, higher/lower and Scroll through options.

Right button : to confirm choices/settings and to proceed.

Left button : to rectify wrong choices and settings.

Energy consumption formula:

The read out of energy consumption is as follows;

30 days x 24 hours x %Last 365 days x Installed power = energy consumption in kWh 100

365 days x 24 hours x %Last 365 days x Installed power = energy consumption in kWh 100

Example:

30 days x 24 hours x 20 (% Last 365 days) x 1.7 (kW installed power) = 244 kWh 100

If the energy consumption screen displays N/A, this means there is no available percentage at present time. Thermostat hasn't reached the period of measuring yet.
