How do I pair the headset with the wireless dongle?

Insert the USB dongle into your device and turn on the headset. They should pair automatically. If not, press the pairing button on the dongle and then on the headset.

How long does the battery last?

The Razer Chimaera 5.1 offers up to 8 hours of continuous use on a full charge.

How to charge the headset?

Connect the Micro-USB cable to the headset and a USB power source. A full charge takes about 2 hours.

Why is there no sound from the headset?

Ensure the dongle is securely connected, the headset is powered on, and the volume is turned up. Also check that the correct audio device is selected in your system settings.

Can I use the headset with my Xbox or PlayStation?

It is compatible with PlayStation 3 and 4 via USB. For Xbox 360, an adapter may be required. For Xbox One, it is not natively supported.

How do I adjust the virtual 5.1 surround sound?

Install Razer Synapse software (if available) to configure surround sound settings. The headset may also have a built-in hardware toggle.

The microphone is not working. What should I do?

Make sure the microphone is not muted. Check the mute button on the headset and ensure the microphone is set as the default recording device in your operating system.

How to clean the ear cushions and headband?

Wipe gently with a dry or slightly damp cloth. Do not use harsh chemicals. Allow them to dry completely before reuse.

What is the wireless range of the headset?

The wireless range is up to 12 meters (40 feet) in an open environment.

BATTERY INSTALLATION

For best results, fully charge the batteries before first time use of the Razer Chimaera 5.1. A depleted battery will be fully charged in about 3 hours.

6. USING YOUR RAZER CHIMAERA 5.1

Press Left Button 3.

OR

Twist the microphone upwards.

POWER MANAGEMENT

If the headset does not receive an audio signal for 10 minutes, the headset will automatically power down to conserve energy.

If the power in the headset drops below a 10% charge, a beeping sound will be emitted from the unit at a 2 minute interval. At this point, please charge the headset.

USING THE BUTTONS

HEADSET

Buttons On The Left Ear Cup

- Press and to increase/decrease the microphone volume.

- Press 🖱 to mute the microphone.

- Hold 📋 to power on/off the headset.

Buttons On The Right Ear Cup

- Press and to increase/decrease the audio volume.

- Press mode to switch between Xbox LIVE and Local Team Communications mode.

- Hold mode for 3 seconds to toggle between

incoming and outgoing microphone volume. This only functions in Xbox LIVE mode. When the headset is turned on, incoming microphone volume is the default setting.

• Press - sync to mute the audio volume.
• Hold - sync to pair the headset with the base station.

BASE STATION

EQ/Dolby Headphone Button

- Press - ☑ ON/OFF to toggle between Normal,

Bass and Treble modes.

- Hold - ON/OFF for 2 seconds to turn on/off the Dolby Headphone mode.

Standby Button

- Press on/standby to turn on/off the power of the base station.

Source/Synchronization Button

• Press source sync to toggle between Digital Audio In and RCA In. The toggle does not work in Local Team Communications mode.
• Hold - source - sync to pair the base station with the headset.
