Frequently Asked Questions - Teagan KF33040BR Crosley

How do I descale my Crosley Teagan kettle?
To descale, fill the kettle with a mixture of half water and half white vinegar, boil, let sit for 30 minutes, then rinse thoroughly. Alternatively, use citric acid according to package instructions.
What does the boil-dry protection do?
The boil-dry protection automatically shuts off the kettle if it is turned on without enough water, preventing damage to the heating element and reducing fire risk.
Can I open the lid while the kettle is boiling?
It is not recommended to open the lid during boiling as it can release steam and cause burns. Always wait for the kettle to cool down.
What is the capacity of this kettle?
The Crosley Teagan KF33040BR has a capacity of 1.7 liters, which is suitable for approximately 7 cups of water.
Does the kettle have a filter?
Yes, the spout is equipped with a removable mesh filter to catch scale particles. Clean it regularly for optimal performance.
How do I clean the exterior?
Wipe the exterior with a soft, damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or immerse the kettle in water.
Is the base cordless?
Yes, the kettle sits on a 360° swivel base, allowing you to lift and pour from any angle. The base has a short cord for storage.
What should I do if the kettle doesn't turn on?
Check that the base is plugged into a working outlet and that the kettle is properly seated on the base. If it still doesn't work, contact Crosley customer support.
Can I use the kettle for purposes other than boiling water?
No, this kettle is designed for boiling water only. Do not use for heating oil, milk, or other liquids.
How long does it take to boil water?
Boiling time varies by water amount and starting temperature, but typically a full 1.7L boils in about 5-7 minutes due to the 1500W heating element.
