Important Safety Instructions

WARNING: When using the dishwasher, follow basic precautions. Read all instructions before using the dishwasher! Save these operating instructions and pass them on to any future user.

Use the dishwasher only for its intended purpose as described in this user manual. This appliance is intended for normal household use only. Do not change the specification of the appliance. The manufacturer disclaims responsibility for damage or injury caused by improper use of this appliance.

Do not store or use flammable liquids or vapors near the dishwasher.

Under certain conditions, hydrogen gas may be produced in a hot water system that has not been used for two weeks or more. HYDROGEN GAS IS EXPLOSIVE. If the hot-water system has not been used for a long period, before using the dishwasher turn on all hot-water faucets and let the water flow from each for several minutes. Use only detergents recommended for use in dishwashers and keep detergents out of reach of children.

"Some dishwasher detergents are strongly alkaline. They can be extremely dangerous if swallowed. Avoid contact with the skin and eyes and keep children and infirm persons away from the dishwasher when the door is open. Consult a doctor immediately if detergent has been swallowed or inhaled."

Do not touch the heating element.

Do not tamper with controls.

Do not sit or stand on the dishwasher racks or door.

Ensure that the dishwasher door does not remain in an open position, to prevent accidents from happening.

When positioning the appliance, ensure the electrical cord is not tangled or damaged.

Do not place multiple portable socket-outlets at the rear of the appliance.

Installation

See Installation Guide for detailed instructions.

Dishwasher must be installed by a qualified technician.

Place the dishwasher in an area where it will not be exposed to the weather and to freezing temperatures and away from sources of heat and high humidity.

Place the Dishwasher on a flat level surface.

Disconnect the power supply before installing the dishwasher.

Only connect the dishwasher to the power supply when all installation and plumbing work is complete.

Never connect the ground wire to gas lines, hot water pipes or plumbing lines.

WARNING -This appliance must be grounded. Improper connection of the equipment-grounding conductor can result in a risk of electric shock. Consult a qualified electrician if you are in doubt whether the appliance is properly grounded. Do not modify the plug provided with the appliance. If it will not fit the outlet, have a proper outlet installed by a qualified electrician.

Connect to a properly rated, protected, and sized power supply circuit to avoid electrical overload. The dishwasher is designed for an electrical supply of 120V, 60Hz, AC, connected to a dishwasher-dedicated, properly grounded electrical circuit with a fuse or breakers rated for 15 amperes. Electrical supply conductors must be a minimum of #16 AWG copper wire rated at 167°F (75°C) or higher.

This appliance is equipped with a cord having an equipment-grounding conductor and a grounding plug. Plug the power cord into a grounded outlet in accordance with local codes.

Check the plug and cable before you connect the power and make sure it is the correct 110 voltage.

Dishwasher must be secured to adjacent cabinetry using the brackets provided.

To ensure that the dishwasher has been correctly installed, check for water leaks during and after the first use.

Preparation and Operation

Do not operate the dishwasher unless all enclosure panels are properly in place.

Generally, the dishwasher is designed for cups and glasses on the top rack; plates and pots on the bottom rack; and long serving utensils on the very top rack.

When loading the dishwasher:

  • Place sharp items so that they do not damage the door or seal.
  • Place knives in the silverware basket with handles up to prevent risk of injury.
  • Ensure that items do not protrude below the racks or silverware basket.
  • Do not wash plastic items in the dishwasher unless they are marked "Dishwasher Safe".

Tines in the top and bottom racks can be raised or lowered depending on the items to be placed, thereby providing maximum flexibility. The silverware basket can also be moved from its usual spot to adjust the space in the bottom rack.

The top rack is designed to be positioned at two levels. You can adjust the height of the rack by moving it on either the upper rail or the lower rail.

Hold the top rack on the sides and lift up slightly and then push down to the desired height. Ensure that the rack locks in place.

Ensure that the Upper and Lower Spray Arms can spin freely without hitting obstructions.

Push the racks all the way in, ensuring the blue End Clips on the rails are locked.

(Note: detergent pods may not dissolve completely in short wash cycles).

Close the dispensers and then the door firmly until it clicks.

If you open the dishwasher door while the program is running, the machine will stop. If you close the door within 4 seconds, the program will continue running automatically. If longer than 4 seconds, press the Start button to resume the program.

Removing items after cycle is complete:

  • Be careful of hot steam when opening the dishwasher after a wash cycle.
  • Check that the detergent dispenser is empty after the program is complete.

It is recommended that the lower rack in unloaded first and then the upper rack. This will prevent water from dripping from upper rack to lower rack and getting dishes wet.
