Frequently Asked Questions - KAMMTGASSAA Kogan

What VESA patterns does the Kogan KAMMTGASSAA monitor mount support?
The mount supports standard VESA patterns including 75x75mm and 100x100mm. It comes with M4 and M5 screws of varying lengths to fit different monitor depths.
What is the maximum weight capacity of this mount?
While the manual does not specify an exact weight limit, typical gas spring monitor mounts for 17-32 inch screens support up to 10 kg (22 lbs). Do not exceed the rated weight to avoid instability.
Can I install this mount on a glass desk?
The clamp installation requires a solid desktop 10-80mm thick. Glass desks are not recommended as they may crack under pressure. Use the support plate option with a drilled hole for added safety.
How do I adjust the gas spring tension so the arm stays in place?
Loosen the adjustment screw with the Allen key. If the arm drops, turn the screw counter-clockwise; if it rises, turn clockwise. Do not overtighten.
The arm sags after mounting the monitor. What should I do?
First, ensure the monitor weight is within capacity. Then adjust the gas spring tension by turning the adjustment screw counter-clockwise until the arm stays horizontal. If the problem persists, check all bolts for tightness.
Is the mount suitable for curved monitors?
Yes, the mount is compatible with flat and curved monitors. Use the included VESA screws and spacers as shown in step 5 of the manual to accommodate curved back profiles.
How do I install the mount using a grommet (support plate) instead of a clamp?
Drill a 10mm hole in the desktop. Place the support plate over the hole, insert the long hex screw, and tighten with the Allen key. Then attach the desk bracket to the support plate using short hex screws.
What if I lose the Allen keys or screws?
Replacement Allen keys are standard 4mm and 5mm sizes available at hardware stores. For screws, contact Kogan support at help.kogan.com for exact replacements.
How often should I check the mount for safety?
Kogan recommends inspecting the mount every three months. Check that all screws are tight and the arm moves smoothly without excessive play.
Can I use this mount for a television?
This mount is designed for monitors up to 32 inches. Televisions typically have different VESA patterns and are heavier. Do not use it for TVs unless the weight and VESA match the specifications.

INSTALLATION

Step 1.

Clamp Installation:

  • Connect the clamp (C) to the desk bracket (B) by inserting x2 short hex screws (F) into the holes on the desk bracket (B) and tighten the screws using the Allen key (I).
  • Insert the long hex screw (G) into the clamp (C) by turning the Allen key (I) clockwise.
  • Attach the top plate (D) to long hex screw (G).
  • Tighten the screws on the clamp (C) using the Allen key (I).

Note:

o For desktops 10-50mm the clamp bracket must be installed in the two upper holes.
o For desktops 40-80mm the clamp bracket must be installed in the two lower holes.

NOTES

The Ground Truth image displays a single, solid horizontal line. According to Rule 2 (UNDERSCORE & LINE RULES), this is a stylistic or background line, not a placeholder underscore. Therefore, the OCR result must ignore it and output nothing or only meaningful text. The provided OCR content is "____", which consists of four underscores. This is an incorrect interpretation of the line as a fill-in-the-blank placeholder, violating the rule that stylistic lines must be ignored. The OCR has hallucinated underscores where none should exist based on the GT's visual context. Hence, the OCR result is inconsistent with the Ground Truth.

The Ground Truth image displays a single, continuous horizontal line, which is a stylistic or background element (like a ruled paper line). According to Rule 2, such lines must be ignored by the OCR result. The provided OCR content is "____", which consists of underscores. Underscores are not equivalent to a solid line and are not permitted under the “Stylistic/Background Lines (Ignore)” rule. Outputting underscores for a stylistic line is incorrect because it misinterprets the line as a fill-in-the-blank placeholder. Since the OCR output incorrectly rendered a stylistic line as underscores (which should be ignored), this violates the rule. Therefore, the OCR result is inconsistent with the Ground Truth.

The Ground Truth image displays a single, solid horizontal line. According to Rule 2 (UNDERSCORE & LINE RULES), if the GT contains lines used for stylistic emphasis or as background elements (like ruled paper), the OCR result must ignore them. The line in the GT is clearly a stylistic/background line, not a placeholder for text. Therefore, the OCR should not have output any underscores. Outputting `____` constitutes an error under Rule 2, as it hallucinates placeholder symbols where none are semantically intended. Hence, the OCR result is inconsistent with the Ground Truth.
