• Toensureproperventilation for your refrigerator, the front of the unit must be completely unobstructed. Choose a well-ventilated area with temperatures above 60^ F (16 °C) and below 90^ F ( 32^ C). This unit must be installed in an area protected from the element, such as wind, rain, water sprayordrips.

INSTALLATIONINSTRUCTIONS

BEFOREUSING YOURAPPLIANCE

• Removetheexteriorandinteriorpacking.
• Checktobesureyouhaveallofthefollowingparts:

• Before connecting the unit to the power source, let it stand upright for approximately 2 hours. This will reduce the possibility of a malfunction in the cooling system from handling during transportation.

• Cleantheinteriorsurfacewithlukewarmwaterusingasoftcloth.

INSTALLATIONOFYOURAPPLIANCE

• Place your refrigerator-freezer on a floor that is strong enough to support the refrigerator-freezerwhenitisfullyloaded.Tolevelyourrefrigerator-freezer,adjustthe levelinglegsatthebottomofunit.
• Allow 5 inches of space between the back and sides of the unit, which allows the proper aircirculationtocoolthecompressorandcondenser.
• Locate the unit away from direct sunlight and sources of heat (stove, heater, radiator, etc.). Direct sunlight may affect the acrylic coating and heat sources may increase electrical consumption. Extremecoldambienttemperaturesmayalsocausetherefrigerator-freezernot toperformproperly.
• Avoidlocatingtheunitinmoistareas.
• Plug the unit into an exclusive properly installed-grounded wall outlet. Do not under any circumstances cut or remove the third (ground) prong from the power cord. Any questions concerning power and/or grounding should be directed toward a certified electrician or an authorized AIRFLOProductsservicecenter.

Warning

Improperuseofthegroundedplugcanresultintheriskofelectricalshock.Ifthepowercordis damaged,haveitreplacedbyanauthorizedAIRFLOProductsservicecenter.

Thisapplianceshouldbeproperlygroundedforyoursafety. Thepowercordofthisapplianceis equippedwithathree-prongplugwhichmateswithstandardthreeprongwalloutletstominimize the possibilityofelectricalshock.

Donotunderanycircumstancescutorremovethethirdgroundprongfromthepowercordsupplied. Forpersonalsafety, this appliancemustbeproperlygrounded.

This appliance requires a standard 220/240 Volt AC \~/50Hz electrical ground outlet with three-prong. The appliance should always be plugged into its own individual electrical outlet which has a voltage ratingthatmatchestheratinglabelontheappliance. Thisprovidesthebestperformanceandalso preventoverloadinghousewiringcircuitsthatcouldcauseafirehazardfromoverheated.Neverunplug theappliancebypullingthepowercord.Alwaysgriptheplugfirmlyandpullstraightoutfromthe receptacle.Repairorreplaceimmediatelyallpowercordsthathavebecomefrayedorotherwise damaged.Donotuseacordthatshowscracksorabrasiondamagealongitslengthorateitherend. EXTENSIONCORD

Becauseofpotentialsafetyhazardsundercertainconditions,itisstronglyrecommendedthatyoudo notuseanextensioncordwiththisappliance.However,ifyoumustuseanextensioncorditis absolutelynecessarythatitbeaUL/CUL-Listed,3-wiregroundingtypeapplianceextensioncord havingagroundingtypeplugandoutletandthattheelectricalratingofthecordbe115voltsandatleast 10amperes.

SURGEPROTECTOR

Mostelectricalappliancesuseaseriesofelectriccontrolboardstooperate. Theseboardsarevery susceptibletopowersurgesandcouldbedamagedordestroyed.

If the appliance is going to be used in an area or if your city/country is pronetopowers surges/outages; it suggested that you use apowers surge protector for all electrical devices/appliances you use. The surge protector that you select must have a surge block high enough to protect the appliance it is connected to. OPERATING YOUR APPLIANCE

Thetemperaturecontrolislocatedintherefrigeratorsection. This contro will adjust the temperature for both therefrigerator and freezer sections.

- Thefirsttimeyouturntheuniton,setthetemperaturecontrolto"7"th coldest.

- Therangeofthetemperaturecontrolsarefromposition "0" or NOCOOLINGto "7" the coldest. After 24 to 48 hours, adjust the temperature control to the setting that best suits your needs. The setting of "5" should be correct for home or officerefrigerator use.

NOTE:

• IFTHEUNITISUNPLUGGED, HASLOSTPOWER, ORISTURNEDOFF, YOUMUSTWAIT3 TO5MINUTESBEFORERESTARTINGTHEUNIT. IFYOUATTEMPTTORESTARTBEFORE THISTIMEDELAY, THEREFRIGERATOR-FREEZERWILLNOTSTART.
• TURNINGTHEREFRIGERATORTEMPERATURECONTROLTO"0"POSITIONSTOPSTHE COOLINGCYCLEBUTDOESNOTSHUTOFFTHEPOWERTOTHEUNIT.

INTERIORLIGHT

When you opened the doorthelight will be ON automatically. When you closed the doorthelight will turn OFF automatically.

DEFROSTING YOURAPPLIANCE

- When?: For themostefficient operation and minimum energy consumption, defrost the freezer compartment when the frost on the appliance walls is excessive or 1/4 inch thick. There is noneed to defrost there refrigerator compartment, because icedepositing on the inner back walls defrosted automatically. Icemay deposit on the inner back wall during the compressor operation; lateron, when the compressor is not operating the icewill defrost and the water drops collect and drain through the outlet in the inner back wall into the drain pansituated above the compressor, from where is evaporates.

• Removethefrozenfoodfromtheapplianceandplaceitinacoolertoprotectthefood.
  • Leavethedooropenforawhilesothatyoucaneasilyscrapoffthefrost.
  • Useaplasticscraperbutbecarefulnottodamagetheinnersurfacesofthefreezer.
• Wipeupthescrapedofffrostandicebeforeitiscompletelydefrosted.

FREEZINGFRESHFOODS

• Proper use of the appliance, adequately packed food, correct temperature and taking into account hygienic precautions will substantially influence the quality off freezing the food or storing of the frozen foods.
• This compartment is designed forthel on g-term stora geoffrozen food.
• Thestora gelifeoffrozenfoodsvariesandtherecommendedstora getimeshouldnotbeexceeded.
• Pre-packedcommercial y frozenfoodshouldbestoredinaccordancewiththefrozenfoods manufacturer'sinstructionsforathreestarfrozenfoodstoragecompartmentorhomefreezer.
• Place frozen food into the freezer as quickly as possible after purchase. If there are instructions on the packet, carefully follow these instructions regarding storagetimes.
• Carefully select food you intend to freeze, it should be of adequate quality and suitable for freezing.
  • Usecorrectpackagingandwrapittight.
• The packaging should be airtight and shouldn't leak since this could cause substantial vitamin loss and dehydrationoffoods.
• Foilsandbagsshouldbesoftenoughtotightlywraparoundthefoods.
• Whenpreparingfoodstobefrozen,considersanitaryprecautions.
• Markpackageswithfollowingdata:kindandamountoffoodsandthedateofloading.
• Itisextremelyimportantthatthefoodisfrozenasquicklyaspossible.
• If the loading amount is too large, the quality of freezing is reduced which affects the quality of frozenfoods.

CAREANDMAINTENANCE

CLEANINGTHEAPPLIANCE

• Turn the temperature control to "0", unplug the unit, and remove the food and baskets.
• Wash the inside with a warm water and baking soda solution. The solution should be about 2 tablespoons of bakingsodatoaquartofwater.
• Washthebasketswithamilddetergentsolution.
• Theoutsideoftheunitshouldbecleanedwithmilddetergentandwarmwater.

PowerFailure
