How do I install the camera on the ceiling?

First, aim the LG logo toward the area you want to monitor. Secure the camera with the two M4 tapping screws provided. Adjust the pan (left/right) by moving the Pan Base, then tighten the screws. Loosen the Tilting Lock Screw to adjust tilt (up/down) and retighten. Use the Zoom and Focus levers for desired field of view. Finally, install the dome cover by turning it counterclockwise.

What do the 6-pin Dip Switch settings do?

The Dip Switch has six functions: ELC/ALC (Electronic or Auto Iris), FL (Flickerless to remove flicker), AWB/HOLD (Auto White Balance or Hold), BLC (Back Light Compensation off/on), L/L (Line-Lock or Internal sync), and AGC (Auto Gain Control on/off). Default settings: ALC, OFF, AWB, OFF, INT, ON.

How do I clean the dome cover?

Use a dry, soft cloth to clean the dome cover. For stubborn dirt, dampen the cloth with a mild detergent and wipe gently. Avoid strong solvents or detergents to prevent damage.

What is the day/night (D&N) function?

The D&N (Day & Night) function is activated automatically when AGC is set to ON. It enhances low-light performance by adjusting gain to make dark images lighter. This helps the camera transition from color to monochrome in low light.

Can this camera be used outdoors?

No, this camera is designed for indoor use only. It should not be exposed to rain, moisture, or extreme environmental conditions. Install in a location that is protected from water and dust.

Why is my picture quality poor?

Check if the dome cover is dirty. Clean it with a dry cloth. Adjust the focus lever for sharpness. If the background is too bright, set Back Light Compensation (BLC) to OFF. Also ensure the monitor is working correctly.

What power supply is needed?

The camera requires a DC 12 V power supply. The optional adapter is rated at 12 V, 300 mA. Use only the specified adapter to avoid damage.

How do I remove the dome cover?

Lift the Dome Cover Separatory Spring on the opposite side of the LG logo, then turn the dome cover clockwise to release it. Handle with care to avoid damage.

What is the maximum resolution?

The camera provides 520 TV lines of horizontal resolution, suitable for clear surveillance images.

Can I mount the camera on a wall?

Yes, but you will need an additional mounting bracket (not supplied) for wall installation. The included hardware is designed for ceiling mounting only.

Safety Precautions

Do not attempt to disassemble the camera.

Installation

Camera Installation

1. Aim the LG logo of the Dome Camera to face the place that you wish to watch.
2. Tighten the M4 Tapping Screws to fix the Dome Camera on the ceiling, then adjust the Pan (Left/Right) by moving the Pan Base. Tighten the M4 Tapping Screws after adjustment.
3. Loosen the Tilting Lock Screw. Adjust the Tilt (Up/Down) by moving the Tilt Base, then tighten the Tilting Lock Screw.
4. Set the Zoom Lever to a point between "Tele" and "Wide" to choose the desired angular field of view. Set the Focus Lever to a point between "Near" and "Far" to choose the desired focus of view.
5. Install the Dome Cover to the main body by turning it counterclockwise to the end.

Connect the Power Adapter (12 V, 300 mA; optional) to the Power Input Jack of the camera as shown below.

- When you disassemble the Dome Cover, lift the Dome Cover Separatory Spring on the opposite side of the LG Logo and turn the Dome Cover clockwise simultaneously.

Setup

6-pin Dip Switch Setting

This camera has a 6-pin Dip Switch for setting.

1. ELC / ALC

ELC (Electronic IRIS), ALC (Auto IRIS)

The default setting is ALC.

2. FL (Flickerless)

Use for removing the flicker of picture.

The default setting is OFF.

3. AWB/HOLD

AWB (Auto White Balance), HOLD (White Balance Hold). The default setting is AWB.

4. BLC

Backlight compensation eliminates strong background light which makes the camera picture dark such as a spotlight. You can select the mode for adjusting the iris lens. The default setting is OFF.

5. L/L

Line-Lock mode, Internal Mode. Line-Lock when using AC 24 V power.

The default setting is INT.

6. AGC (Auto Gain Control)

If the image is too dark, change the maximum value to make the image lighter. The D&N function is activated automatically in AGC ON mode. The default setting is ON.

The picture is poor

Does the Dome Cover have lots of dust on the surface?

• Use a dry cloth to clean the camera when it is dirty. Smear may be caused to the screen at night more than during daytime.
• Adjust the Focus by moving the Focus Lens.

Contrast of the screen is not clear.

Check the condition of the monitor. A light source such as a spot light causes burn-in on the display screen. Adjust position or angle of the camera to eliminate strong background light.

Background screen appears extremely white.

You can set the background compensation to OFF.
