How do I descale the kettle?

Fill the kettle with equal parts water and white vinegar or use citric acid. Boil, let sit for 30 minutes, then rinse thoroughly. Repeat if necessary.

Can I use the kettle to boil milk?

No, boiling milk can cause burning and damage to the heating element. The kettle is designed for water only.

What is the maximum water level?

Do not fill above the MAX line indicated inside the kettle. Overfilling may cause water to spill out during boiling.

Is the kettle safe to leave unattended?

How do I clean the filter?

Remove the scale filter from the spout and rinse it under running water. Use a soft brush to remove stubborn deposits. Reattach when dry.

Can I use the kettle with an extension cord?

What does the blue light indicator mean?

When using any electrical appliance, basic safety precautions should always be followed including the following:

• Always ensure that the voltage on the rating label corresponds to the mains voltage in your home
• Incorrect operation and improper use can damage the appliance and cause injury to the user.
• This appliance can be used by children aged from 8 years and above if they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance in a safe way and if they understand the hazards involved. Cleaning and user maintenance shall not be made by children unless they are older than 8 and supervised. Keep the appliance and its cord out of reach of children aged less than 8 years. Check the power cord and plug regularly for any damage. If the cord or the plug is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer or qualified person in order to avoid an electrical hazard.

HOW TO USE

GETTING TO KNOW YOUR MIXER

BEFORE USE

Remove all packaging. Wash the dough hooks and beaters in warm, soapy water. Rinse and dry thoroughly.

• Before assembling the mixer, be sure that the power cord is unplugged and switch is in the OFF position
  • The beaters are for mixing egg white or other liquid
  • The dough hooks are for kneading dough etc
• The dough hooks are NOT identical. There is a left and right one and they can only be inserted one way round. The dough hook with the washer goes into the larger socket
• Turn the speed selector to one of the 5 settings. Pressing the TURBO button will increase speed by about 10%
• MAX operation time is 5 minutes. This should be more than enough for most operations. After 5 minutes running the unit should be rested for 20 minutes to cool.
• Warning: Do not put fingers or any utensil near the dough hooks or beaters during operation

HOW TO USE

• When mixing is complete, turn the speed selector to the OFF position and unplug the power cord from the outlet
• AFTER unplugging, you can clean any excess food from beater or dough hook using a wooden spoon or plastic utensil
• Hold the beaters firmly with one hand and press the EJECT button on top of the unit to release them

TIPS

• For refrigerated ingredients, it is usually best to allow them to come to room temperature before mixing
  • We recommend eggs are broken into separate container before adding to mixture to prevent contamination by egg shells etc
• Use lower speed when blending different ingredients. Eg. folding in dry ingredients
  • For egg whites etc, start at lower speed then build up to fastest

CLEANING

• Disconnect from mains power supply before cleaning.
• Do not submerge the appliance in water. This may lead to electric shock or fire.
• Do not use a wire brush or other abrasive utensils for cleaning.
• Do not use aggressive or abrasive cleaning agents.
• Motor housing: Clean the housing only with a damp cloth and a squirt of washing-up liquid.
• Mixing attachments are suitable for dishwasher, or you can clean them in soapy water.
  • Always rinse and dry thoroughly before storing with mixer
