IMPORTANT INFORMATION - RETAIN FOR FUTURE USE

When using any electrical appliance, basic safety precautions should always be followed including the following:

  • Always ensure that the voltage on the rating label corresponds to the mains voltage in your home
  • Incorrect operation and improper use can damage the appliance and cause injury to the user.
  • This appliance can be used by children aged from 8 years and above if they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance in a safe way and if they understand the hazards involved. Cleaning and user maintenance shall not be made by children unless they are older than 8 and supervised. Keep the appliance and its cord out of reach of children aged less than 8 years. Check the power cord and plug regularly for any damage. If the cord or the plug is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer or qualified person in order to avoid an electrical hazard.
  • Do not use the appliance if it has been dropped or damaged in any way. In case of damage, take the unit in for examination and/or repair by an authorised service agent.

  • This appliance is not suitable for outdoor use. Do not use the appliance for anything other than its intended use.

HOW TO USE

Before first use

Unpack the toaster and remove all packaging materials etc

Place the toaster on a suitable, level surface. Set the browning dials to 3 or 4.

Place one to four slices of bread into the toaster slots

Connect the product to the mains supply and press down the carriage lever. NOTE: The carriage levers will only stay down if the product is connected to the mains supply. You can press the cancel button at any time to cancel the toasting process. The toast will pop up when it is ready

THINGS TO NOTE:

On first use, you may notice a slight odour. This is caused by the evaporation of light oils used in manufacture. This only occurs on the first use and does not affect the taste of your toast.

This four slice toaster has two independent carriage mechanisms with separate temperature controls for each pair of toasting slots

OTHER FUNCTIONS:

The Frozen bread setting is perfect for defrosting and toasting frozen bread. To use this function, press the carriage lever down then press the Frozen Bread button.

The Reheat setting is good for reheating toast that may have gone cold. Press the carriage lever down then press the Reheat button

The Bagel setting toasts more slowly to ensure even heating throughout. Press the carriage lever down then press the Bagel button

CLEANING & MAINTENANCE

This product requires very little maintenance.

The toaster is equipped with a crumb tray which slides out from the bottom of the toaster.

This should be removed and the crumbs discarded after each use.

Excessive build up of crumbs can cause an unpleasant odour and in extreme cases pose a fire hazard.

For cleaning external surfaces, a soft cloth moistened with a mild detergent solution is all that is required.

DO NOT USE ABRASIVE OR STRONG CHEMICAL CLEANERS

DO NOT IMMERSE ANY PART OF THE PRODUCT IN WATER

ALWAYS ENSURE THE PRODUCT IS UNPLUGGED FROM THE MAINS SUPPLY AND COMPLETELY COOL BEFORE CLEANING.
