How do I power the IHD-210PT?

You can power the device either via the DC 5V/2A power adapter (not included) or through PoE from a compatible Gigabit PoE+ switch (802.3af/at). Only one power source is needed.

What is the maximum transmission distance?

Using Cat5e or Cat6 cable, the maximum distance is 100 meters (328 feet). For best performance, use a Gigabit switch with IGMP snooping and Jumbo Frame support.

How do I configure the device for multicast?

Set the same Group ID on all transmitters and receivers in the same group using the 6-bit DIP switch. Each group forms a separate stream channel. Refer to the manual for detailed multicast setup.

Can I use the IHD-210PT without a receiver?

The IHD-210PT is a transmitter and must be paired with at least one IHD-210PR receiver. It cannot output video alone.

What should I do if there is no video output?

Check that all cables are securely connected. Ensure the display input is set to HDMI. If using a PC, verify the BIOS video output setting and test the source with a direct HDMI connection. Also confirm the DIP switch settings match between transmitter and receiver.

How do I reset the device to factory defaults?

While the device is powered on, press and hold the Reset button for more than one second. The device will restore to default settings.

Can I extend RS-232 signals?

Yes, the IHD-210PT and IHD-210PR have DB-9 female connectors for bi-directional RS-232 extension. Use a null modem cable for connection.

What type of Ethernet switch is recommended?

A Gigabit IEEE 802.3af/at PoE+ switch with IGMP snooping and Jumbo Frame support is recommended for optimal performance.

Is the IR emitter cable included?

Yes, the IR emitter cable is included with the transmitter (IHD-210PT). The IR receiver cable is included with the receiver (IHD-210PR).

How many receivers can I connect to one transmitter?

Installation

1. Connect the video source to the Transmitter/Sender (IHD-210PT) Unit's HDMI In interface.
2. Connect the monitor to the Receiver (IHD-210PR) Unit's HDMI Out interface.
3. Use Cat5e/6 cables (EIA/TIA 568B industry standard compliant) for connection between Transmitter/Receiver and the IEEE 802.3af/at PoE+ switch.
4. Set an identical ID number on DIP switch for all units of the same group.
5. Apply the proper power to all connecting devices.

Note

- It is suggested using the Gigabit IEEE 802.3af/ at PoE+ Ethernet switch with IGMP snooping and Jumbo Frame to ensure optimal transmission quality. - If users encounter no screen display in computer connection:

1. Make sure the device cables are correctly and firmly attached.
2. Set your display device's (TV, monitor, etc.) input source as HDMI.
3. Check the PC BIOS configuration about the video output setting.
4. Connect your computer to the HDMI Display DIRECTLY to check if the video signal gets through.
