THANK YOU FOR CHOOSING POLSEN.
The Polsen PCR-65 is a side-address cardioid condenser microphone designed for recording, broadcasts, podcasts, or music in professional or project studios. The microphone features a cardioid polar pattern that rejects off-axis noise and prevents feedback. A wide frequency response and high SPL capacity ensure clear and nuanced sound with no distortion, even when recording loud sources. The microphone's high sensitivity ensures that it will capture the entire spectrum of voices or instruments with detailed accuracy. The PCR-65 is constructed with a metal housing for durability and comes with a custom shock mount and desktop tripod.

MOUNTING THE MICROPHONE
- Screw the shock mount onto the threaded post of a mic stand or the included desktop tripod.
- Once secure, remove the locking ring on the bottom of the shock mount, and place the base of the microphone through mounting hole.
- Replace the locking ring, and tighten until secure.
Note: To ensure the security of the microphone when using the desktop tripod, make sure the microphone is positioned directly over one of the tripod legs.
- If needed, adjust the angle of the microphone by loosening the locking knob on the shock mount. Be sure to hold the microphone with one hand while performing this operation.
RECORDING WITH THE PCR-65
- Turn the speaker volume down, and use an XLR cable to connect the microphone to a preamplifier, mixing board, or recorder.
Note: Recording directly into a computer requires an XLR-to-USB adapter such as the Polsen XLR-USB-48.
-
Turn the phantom power on.
-
Turn the speaker volume up, and set the input level on the recording device.
For the best recording results, the microphone should point directly at the sound source.
Vocalists and instrumentalists should be positioned approximately 6 to 12 inches from the microphone. For close vocal miking, use a foam windscreen or pop filter (not included) to prevent vocal pops or plosives.
