PRINCIPAUX COMPOSANTS

  • Do not connect to the mains without checking that the voltage on the rating plate and that of your household are the same.
  • Make sure the plug has an adequate earth base.
  • Do not leave unattended while in use.
    • Take care the cable cord does not touch any hot parts.
  • Keep out of the reach of children.
    • Always place on a heat resistance surface.
  • Keep out of curtains or other flammable materials.
  • The temperature of the surfaces could be high when the appliance is working.
  • Do not use the appliance if the surface has any fissure.
  • In any case if the ceramic surface is broken, do not switch on the appliance to avoid any possibility of electric shock.
  • This appliance has been designed for domestic use only.

- Always it must be used with the connector provided. Do not use any other type of connector.

• Always it must be used on a firm solid horizontal surface.

- Only plug it to the mains if the connector is connected to the appliance.

- VERY IMPORTANT: Do not immerse the connector with the cable cord in water or any other liquid.

- To unplug, pull from the plug, never from the cable.

- It must not be used outdoors.

- Remove the sticker from the vitroceramic surface before switch on the appliance.

- If the cable were to deteriorate it must be changed by an Authorised Service Centre.

INTRUCTIONS OF USE

- The vitroceramic grill surface has two different work areas. The left side is a standard grill and the right side, with the lines over the glass, can work as a cooker and also as a grill. Both areas can work together or independently with different options:

  1. Use all the surface as a grill.

  2. Use part of the surface as a grill and the other part as a cooker.

  3. Use the cooker surface as a grill.

  4. Use the glass surface independently.

- Before using for the first time, clean the surface with a damp cloth.

- Place the appliance on a flat and heat resistance surface.

- The tray (9) must be in place, otherwise, the juices and fat resulting from the cooking will spill onto the surface. To remove and place the tray always use the two flanges placed on the corners.

USE AS A GRILL

To use all the glass surface as a grill follow the next steps:

- Insert the connector (1) into the base (2).

- Turn the cooker temperature selector (4) clockwise until place it between the numbers 3-4 and turn the grill temperature selector (6) to the maximum position (n° 6).

- Plug into the mains. The pilot lights (3 and 5) will light on.

- Wait approximately about 10 minutes to let the surface reach the maximum temperature.

- Next, pour some oil on the grill and place the food. If you consider it convenient and according to the food you are going to cook you can modify the temperature selectors.

- Always use heat resisting utensils to move or turn the food over. You must bear in mind when using metallic utensils, to be in perfect conditions, without broken parts or sharp edges, etc.

COMBINED USE

For a combined use of the glass surface, the left side as grill and the right side, with the lines over the glass, follow the next steps:

- Place the grill temperature selector (6) to the maximum position (n° 6). In approximately 10 minutes the grill surface has reached the appropriate temperature.

- Use the cooker selector placing it initially in the maximum position (n° 6) and turning it if it is necessary depending on the food that you are going to cook.

NOTE

- When using the appliance with the combined use, the temperature of the cooker surface is higher than the grill surface. Nevertheless if after using the cooker surface you want to use this area as a grill, place the temperature selector (4) between the numbers 3 and 4 and wait 5 minutes before placing the food. After this time the temperature of the cooker surface will be as the grill surface.

USE THE COOKER SURFACE AS A GRILL

  • You can use the cooker surface as a grill when the foods are a few and you don't need all the surface.
  • To do that place the selector (4) between the numbers 3 and 4.
  • Wait about 10 minutes to reach the appropriate temperature. If you consider it necessary, after that, you can change the selector position.

INDEPENDENT USE

- You can use the glass surface independently, only the grill surface or only the cooker surface. To do that follow the indications given in the previous paragraphs.

MAINTENANCE AND CLEANING

  • Before you proceed to cleaning, unplug the appliance from the mains and remove the connector from its base.
  • IMPORTANT: Clean the surface after each use and do not wait the surface to cool completely. The cleaning of the surface will be easier if it is still warm.
  • Leave the surface to cool and remove the residues using the spatula.
  • If there were some difficult residues remove them dampening the surface and using the spatula. Next it may be cleaned with a cloth dampened in a little soap.
  • Once removed all the residues you can use an specific product to clean the vitroceramic surfaces and finally you can use a dampened cloth to remove the last residues of that product.
  • If some particles still remain stuck on the vitroceramic surface you can use an scraper to remove them.
  • Melted plastic or sugar must be removed as soon as possible and being the grill still hot. If you leave them to cool the vitroceramic surface can be damage.
  • Do not use abrasive or chemical products, metallic scourers, and such may deteriorate the surface and never use corrosive substances as sprays for ovens.
  • All the outer parts can be cleaned with a dampened cloth.
  • The tray (9) may be cleaned with water and detergent suitable for the dishwasher.
