A. Youshallhavetherighttoreceivenew featurestotheSoftwareasSymantec, inits solediscretion, makessuchfeaturesavailable withtheSoftwareduringYourService Period. Symantecontinuallystrivesto improvetheusabilityandperformanceofits productsandservices.Inordertooptimize theSoftwareSymantecmay,atitsdiscretion andwithoutnotice,add,modifyorremove featuresfromtheSoftwareatanytime.

B.CertainSoftwareusescontentthatis updatedfromtimetotime,includingbutnot limitedtothefollowingSoftware:antivirus andcrimewaresoftwareuseupdatedvirus definitions;antispywaresoftwareuses updatedspywaredefinitions;antispam softwareusesupdatedantispamrules; contentfilteringandantiphishingsoftware useupdatedURLlists;somefirewallsoftware useupdatedfirewallrules;vulnerability assessmentproductsuseupdated vulnerabilitydataandwebsite authenticationsoftwareusesupdatedlists ofauthenticatedwebpages;theseupdates arecollectivelyreferredtoas"Content Updates"(oralternativelyreferredtoas "ProtectionUpdates"or"SecurityUpdates"attimes).Youshallhavetherighttoreceive ContentUpdatesfortheSoftwareduring YourServicePeriod.

3. Product Installation; Required Activation:

A. During the installation process, the Software may uninstall or disable other security products, or feature thereof, if such products or features are incompatible with the Software or for purposes of improving the overall functionality of the Software.

B. Theremaybetechnological measures in this Software that are designed to prevent unlicensed or illegal use of the Software. You agree that Symantec may us these measures to protect Symantec against software piracy. This Software may contain enforcement technology that limits the ability to install and uninstall the Software on a computer to not more than a finit number of times for a finit number of computers. This License Agreement and the Software containing enforcement technology may require activation as further set forth in the Documentation. If so, the Software will only operate for a finite period of time prior to Software activation by You. During activation, You may be required to provide your unique activation code accompanying the Software and computer configuration in the form of an alphanumeric code over the Internet to verify the authenticity of the Software. If you donot complete the activation within the finite period of times set

forthintheDocumentation,orasprompted bytheSoftware,theSoftwarewillceaseto functionuntilactivationiscomplete;at whichtimetheSoftwarefunctionalitywill berestored.IntheeventthatYouarenot abletoactivatetheSoftwareoverthe Internet,orthroughanyothermethod specifiedduringtheactivationprocess,You maycontactSymantecCustomerSupport usingtheinformationprovidedbySymantec duringactivation,orassetforthbelow.

Certain technical support features maybe offered from within the Software and which may include live chat with technical support agent and/or assistance from technical support agent via a remote computer access (anysuch technical support offered from within the Software shall be referred to in this License Agreement as the "Technical Support"). If such features are offered and you choose to access such Technical Support the following terms shall apply. Anysuch Technical Support shall be provided in Symantec's solediscretion without any guarantee or warranty of any kind. It is solely your responsibility to complete a backup of all you existing data, software and programs before receiving any Technical Support. In the course of providing the Technical Support, Symantec may determinethat the technical issue is beyond the scope of the Technical Support. Symantec reserves herighttorefuse, suspendor terminate any of the Technical Support in its solediscretion.

5. Privacy; DataProtection:

Fromtimetotime, the Software may collect certain information from the computer on which it is installed, which may include:

Informationonpotentialsecurityrisksas wellasURLsofwebsitesvisitedthatthe Softwaredeemspotentiallyfraudulent.The URLscouldcontainpersonallyidentifiable informationthatapotentiallyfraudulent websiteisattemptingtoobtainwithoutYour permission.Thisinformationiscollectedby Symantecforthepurposeofevaluatingand improvingtheabilityofSymantec'sproducts todetectmaliciousbehavior,potentially fraudulentwebsitesandotherInternet securityrisks.Thisinformationwillnotbe correlatedwithanypersonallyidentifiable information.

URLsofwebsitesvisitedaswellassearch keywordsandsearchresultsonlyifthe NortonSafeWebfeatureisenabled.This informationiscollectedbySymantecforthe purposeofevaluatingandadvisingYou regardingpotentialthreatsandrisksthat maybeassociatedwithaparticularWebsite beforeYouviewit.Thisinformationwillnot becorrelatedwithanypersonallyidentifiable information.

If You are the original licensee of this copy of the Software and are not completely satisfied with it for any reason, please make no further use of the Software and contact Symantec Customer Service, using the contact details set out in Section 11 of this License Agreement, for a refund of the money You paid for the Software (less shipping, handling, and any applicable taxes except uncertain states and countries where shipping, handling and taxes are refundable) at any timed during the sixty (60) day period following the date of purchase.

7. Limited Warranty:

Symantecwarrantsthatanymedia manufacturedbySymanteconwhichthe Softwareisdistributedwillbefreefrom defectsforaperiodofsixty(60)daysfrom thedateofdeliveryoftheSoftwaretoYou. Beforeyoubegin

BeforeyouinstallNortonInternetSecurity,youshould readtheReadMefileforthelatestinstallation information.

ToinstallNortonInternetSecurity, youarerequired toenteranadministratoraccountnameandpassword. Anadministratoraccountiscreatedwhenyousetup yourMac.

1 Dooneofthefollowing:
■If you install from a CD, insert the product CD into the optical drive.
■If you downloaded your copy of Norton Internet Security, double-click the file that you downloaded.
2 Double-clickNortonInternetSecurityInstaller.
3 IntheWelcometotheNortonInternetSecurity Installerwindow,clickContinue.
4 ReadtheSoftwareLicenseAgreement, and then clickContinue.
5 Inthedialogthatappears, clickAgree. If you donotagree, you cannot continue the installation.
6 Ifprompted, intheSelectaDestinationwindow, selectyourMacOSXstartupdisk, and thenclick Continue.
YoumustinstallNortonInternetSecurityona startupdisk.
7 ToinstallNortonInternetSecurity, clickInstall. If other Symantec products are installed on your computer, this button may belabeled Upgrade instead of Install.
8 When prompted, type your administrator account name and password, and then click Install Software.

Throughout the Setup Assistant, you can click More Infoto get more information about the feature or options in the window. You can also go back to previous windows by clicking the Back button.

YoucanviewandchangeallofthesettingsintheSetup AssistantatanytimeintheNortonInternetSecurity settingswindows.YoucanclicktheHelpbutton (questionmark)onanysettingswindowforinformation onchangingfeaturesettings.

TosetupNortonInternetSecurity

1 IntheNortonInternetSecuritySetupAssistant, readtheIntroductionwindow, and thenclick Continue.
2 IntheLocationAwarenesswindow, usethebuttons to enable ordisable LocationAwareness, and then click Continue.
3 IntheLocationAwarenesswindow,selectthe locationofyourMac,andthenclickContinue.
4 IntheAboutSafeSurfingwindow, usethebuttons to enable ordisable Safe Surfing, and then click Continue. If you disabled Safe Surfing, you can skipt o step 7.
5 IntheSafeSurfingOptionswindow, usethe checkboxtoenableordisabledisplayoftheNorton ToolbarandtheNortonSafeSearchboxinyour Webbrowser, andthenclickContinue.
6 InthePhishingProtectionOptionswindow,use thecheckboxestoenableordisablePhishing ProtectionfortheFirefoxWebbrowserandtoset otherFirefoxoptions,andthenclickContinue.
7 IntheFirewallwindow, usethedrop-downmenu toconfigureaccesssettingsfortheservicesthatare runningonyourcomputer, andthenclickContinue.

8 IntheFinishSetupwindow,dooneofthefollowing:

■Tosubmitsecurityrisksinformation,select SubmiteventstoNortonDeepSight Community.

■TodisplayNortonInternetSecurityapplication iconsonthedock,selectAddNortonInternet SecurityapplicationstotheDock.

9 IntheAuthenticatewindow,enteranadministrator accountnameandpassword,andthenclickOK.

Afterinstallation

AfteryouinstallNortonInternetSecurity,youshould activateandregistryyoursoftwarewithSymantec.

ActivatingNortonInternetSecurity

If you did not activate your product during installation, you receive an activation-needed alert regularly until you activate the product.

Productactivationreducessoftwarepiracyandensures thatyouuseauthenticSymantecsoftware.Activation providesyouwithaspecifiedperiodofsubscriptionto yourNortonproduct.

You must activate your product within the time period that the alerts specifies, or your product stops working. To activate, you need to set the Product Key that was included with this product.

During activation you can create your Norton Account and registry your product. Norton Account lets you view Norton Internet Security details, such as the product key, the product registration date, and recent product updates. If you donot create a Norton Account, the product is activated, but the product key is not saved in the Norton Account. You can print the product key to install your product in the future.

Toactivateyourproductfromthealert

1 Inthealert,selectActivateNow(Recommended).

2 ClickOK.
3 Followtheon-screeninstructionstoactivateyour product.
4 Inthewindowthatappears,clickDone.

Toactivateyourproductfromthemainwindow

1 IntheNortonInternetSecuritymainwindow,do oneofthefollowing:
■Ifyoupurchasedasubscriptionversionofa retailproduct,clickActivateNow.
■Ifyouwanttopurchaseakeyonline,clickBuy aKey.
■If you donotwantto activate your product now, clickActivateLater.
2 Followtheon-screeninstructionstoactivateor subscribeyourproduct.
3 Inthewindowthatappears,clickDone.

Registeringyourproduct

RegisteringyourproductletsyoumanageyourNorton productonline.Youcanaccessyourproductkey,your productorderhistory,andyourprofileinformation. Youcanregistryyourproductduringactivationorafter youhaveinstalledNortonInternetSecurity.

ToregisterNortonInternetSecurity,youneedtouse yourNortonAccountusernameandpassword.Ifyou donothaveaNortonAccount,youcancreateone.

Whenyoucompletetheproductregistration,a confirmationmessageappearswiththeemailaddress towhichyourproductisregistered.

1 OpenNortonInternetSecurity.
2 IntheNortonInternetSecuritymenubar, click NortonInternetSecurity.
3 SelectRegisterNortonInternetSecurity.
