Frequently Asked Questions - DA-PI2101 IDIS

What is the DA-PI2101 PoE Injector used for?
The DA-PI2101 is used to supply power and data over a single Ethernet cable to PoE-enabled devices such as IP cameras, wireless access points, and VoIP phones.
What PoE standard does the DA-PI2101 support?
It supports IEEE 802.3af (PoE) and IEEE 802.3at (PoE+), delivering up to 30W of power.
Can I use the injector with non-PoE devices?
No, the injector adds power to the Ethernet cable. Non-PoE devices may be damaged. Use a PoE splitter if needed.
Does the injector affect network speed?
No, the DA-PI2101 supports Gigabit Ethernet (10/100/1000 Mbps) and passes data without degradation.
How do I install the DA-PI2101?
Connect the Data In port to your network switch using an Ethernet cable, then connect the PoE Out port to your PoE device. Plug the power cord into an AC outlet.
What do the LED indicators mean?
The Power LED (green) lights when the injector is receiving power. The PoE Active LED (amber) lights when power is being delivered to the connected device.
Can the injector be mounted on a wall?
Yes, the DA-PI2101 comes with a mounting bracket for wall installation. Use the included screws to secure it.
What should I do if the PoE device does not power on?
Check the power cord connection, verify that the device is PoE-compatible, and ensure the Ethernet cable is Cat5e or better. If the PoE Active LED is off, the device may draw too much power.
Is the DA-PI2101 compatible with IDIS cameras?
Yes, it is designed to work seamlessly with IDIS IP cameras and other IDIS PoE devices, as well as standard PoE devices from other brands.
How do I clean and maintain the injector?
