Frequently Asked Questions - VM-150-T Pawa

How do I properly charge the Pawa VM-150-T battery?
Use a compatible Lithium-ion charger with constant current/constant voltage (CC/CV) profile. Set charge voltage to 4.2V and current to 0.5A (or as marked). Avoid overcharging beyond 4.2V to prevent damage.
Can I use this battery in extreme temperatures?
The VM-150-T is designed for charging between 0°C and 45°C and discharging between -10°C and 60°C. Using it outside these ranges may reduce performance or cause safety risks.
What is the expected lifespan of this battery?
Under normal usage, the battery can last 300-500 full charge cycles. After that, capacity will gradually decline. Proper storage at 40-60% charge in a cool place helps extend life.
How should I store the battery if not used for a long time?
Store the battery at 40-60% charge in a cool, dry place (15-25°C). Avoid full charge or deep discharge for prolonged storage. Check every 3 months and recharge if below 30%.
Is the battery protected against overcharging?
Yes, the VM-150-T includes a Battery Management System (BMS) that protects against overcharge, over-discharge, short circuit, and overtemperature. However, always use a suitable charger.
Can I replace the battery myself?
If used in a device, replacement may require soldering. For safety, consult the device manual or a professional. Dispose of old batteries properly.
What devices is this battery compatible with?
The VM-150-T is commonly used in portable electronics, toys, flashlights, or DIY projects requiring a 3.7V Li-ion source. Check voltage, current, and connector compatibility before use.
How do I dispose of this battery safely?
Never throw in household trash. Recycle at a designated battery collection point. In many countries, retailers are required to accept used batteries for recycling.
What does the model number VM-150-T mean?
The VM likely denotes the series, 150 may indicate capacity (1500mAh), and T could refer to a specific variant (e.g., terminal type). Exact meaning varies by manufacturer.
Can I charge this battery with a fast charger?
It is not recommended unless the charger specifically supports Li-ion at higher current. Standard charge rate is 0.2-0.5C (0.3-0.75A). Fast charging may reduce lifespan or cause overheating.
