Frequently Asked Questions - FK-0202 Kunft

What is the capacity of the Kunft FK-0202 kettle?
The kettle has an approximate capacity of 1.7 liters, sufficient for several cups of tea or coffee.
How do I use the kettle for the first time?
Before first use, boil water twice without any additives. Fill the kettle with cold water up to the MAX mark, place it on the base, switch on, and let it boil. Discard the water after each boil.
Can I open the lid while water is boiling?
No, never open the lid while the water is boiling. This could cause hot water to splash out and lead to burns. Wait until the kettle has switched off automatically.
What does the boil dry protection do?
If the kettle is accidentally switched on without water, the boil dry protection automatically turns off the heating element to prevent damage. Let the kettle cool for 15 minutes, then fill with cold water to reset.
How should I clean the kettle?
Unplug the kettle and let it cool. Wipe the exterior with a slightly damp cloth. Do not immerse the kettle or base in water. The removable calcium filter can be cleaned under running water.
How do I descale the kettle?
To remove limescale, boil a mixture of water and white vinegar or use a descaling agent. Fill the kettle to the MAX mark, add the descaling solution, bring to a boil, and let it soak. Then empty and rinse thoroughly with fresh water.
What type of power supply does the kettle need?
The kettle requires a 220-240 V, 50-60 Hz electrical outlet. Check the label on the base for exact specifications.
Can I use the kettle to heat milk or other liquids?
No, the kettle is designed only for heating water. Heating milk or other liquids may cause boiling over and damage the appliance.
The kettle stops before boiling. What should I do?
This may be due to limescale buildup or the boil dry protection being triggered. First, descale the kettle. If the problem persists, ensure the kettle is not overfilled and that the lid is closed properly. If still not working, contact customer service.
What is the warranty period for this kettle?
The Kunft FK-0202 comes with a 2-year warranty from the date of purchase, covering manufacturing defects under normal household use. Retain your receipt.
