- Read all instructions fully before using the product for the first time and retain for reference. If passing this product on to a new owner, include a copy of this guide.

- Do not leave this unit unattended while it is in use.

- Some parts of this product can become very hot and cause burns. Particular attention must be given when children and vulnerable people are present. Keep children and pets at a safe distance from the unit.

- This appliance is not intended for use by persons (including children) with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities, or lack of experience and knowledge, unless they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance by a person responsible for their safety.

- Do not run the power cable under carpeting. Do not cover the power cable with rugs, runners, or similar coverings. Arrange the power cable away from foot traffic and where it will not be tripped over.

INSTALLATION

Note:

The heater MUST be installed with a minimum distance of 100mm from all four sides of the heater.

1. Insert the wall bracket into the hole, align the bracket with screw holes and tighten the screws.
2. Insert the spacer support part into the hole in the rear of the heater and push down.

1. Drill two holes 250mm (L1) apart, ensuring they are straight using a spirit level, then insert the wall anchors.

2. Ensuring the holes are aligned, attach the heater to the wall with 35mm self-tapping screws.

Removing the Heater

To remove the heater from the wall, pull the heater 5mm outward and then move it 10mm to the left.

Leg Installation

1. Attach the legs into the hole in the underside of the heater and push it upwards.

2. Align the legs with the screw hole and secure them in place using the supplied screw.

3. To remove the legs, perform the above steps in reverse order.

CONNECT TO SMARTERHOME™ APP

Install App

Download the "Kogan SmarterHome" app from the Play Store (Android) or App Store (iOS).

To register:

1. If you already have a SmarterHome account, select 'Log In'. To register a new account, select 'Sign Up'.
2. The system will automatically recognise your country. If needed, you can manually select your country from the drop-down box. Enter your email address and tap 'Get Verification Code' to continue.
3. A 6-digit code will be sent to the submitted email address. Enter this code before the one-minute timer expires.
4. Continue to the next page and complete your SmarterHome profile.

Set device in pairing mode

When the device is first turned on, it may automatically enter pairing mode (Wi-Fi indicator will be flashing rapidly).

If not automatically in pairing mode when powered on, you can manually set the device in pairing mode by pressing and holding the setting and down buttons for 3 seconds until the Wi-Fi indicator is flashing rapidly.

Add device through network

1. Once registered, tap "Add Device" on the app's home page, or the "+" in the upper right corner, to add a new device through the network.
2. Select the product type from the list of options in the app (Heating & Cooling → Heaters).
3. Enter your Wi-Fi details. It is important that your SmarterHome™ device and the app are connected to the same Wi-Fi network during setup.

Notes:

• The device and the app have to use the same Wi-Fi network.
• The device is only compatible with 2.4Ghz networks.
• Depending on the product, Steps 3 and 4 may be in opposite order.

1. Ensure that the device is in pairing mode, with the Wi-Fi indicator flashing rapidly, and tap "Confirm light is rapidly flashing".

2. The device will commence the pairing process and connect to the app. Ensure your Wi-Fi router, mobile phone, and the SmarterHome™ device are kept close until connection is complete.

3. After successfully being added, you will have the option to rename the device and assign it to a location. It will now be listed on the app's home page. Tap the device listing to enter its control page.

Note:

Once connected, you can select Create Scene from the “+” in the upper right corner (or from the Scene tab) to group connected SmarterHome™ products and automate their functions.

GOOGLE HOME CONTROL

Note:

You will need to have set up a Google Home account prior to linking your Kogan SmarterHome™ device.

Adding "SmarterHome" to the Google Home app

1. From the home page of the Google Home app, select the “+” icon (top left corner, see arrow in the below screenshot) to access the ‘Add and manage’ page.
2. Select 'Set up device', then select the 'Works with Google' option.

1. Select the search bar and type 'Smarter Home' to locate the Kogan SmarterHome™ service.
2. From here, you will be prompted to sign into your SmarterHome™ account using either your email or mobile phone number, depending on which method you used to register your account.
3. Select "Kogan SmarterHome™" from the app options.

1. Tap 'Authorise' to grant Google permission to access the SmarterHome™ app and your devices.
2. Once connected, the app will display any compatible devices linked to your SmarterHome™ account. From here you can assign them to rooms and set up any routines. Tap on any of the devices to view a list of available commands.

Note:

Please note that Google Home can only control the base/core functions of any compatible SmarterHome™ devices. To make full use of this product's smart functionality, please use the Kogan SmarterHome™ app.

AMAZON ALEXA CONTROL

Note:

You will need to have set up an Alexa account prior to linking your Kogan SmarterHome™ device.

Adding "SmarterHome" to the Alexa app

1. From the home page of the Alexa app, select the “≡” icon in the bottom-right and select “Skills & Games” from the sidebar.
2. Select the search bar and type 'Smarter Home' to locate the Kogan SmarterHome™ skill.

1. Tap 'Enable to Use' to add the Kogan SmarterHome™ skill to Alexa.
2. From here, you will be prompted to sign into your SmarterHome™ account using either your email or mobile phone number, depending on which method you used to register your account.
3. Select "Kogan SmarterHome™" from the app options.

1. Tap 'Authorise' to grant Alexa permission to access the SmarterHome™ app and your devices.
2. Once connected, the app will perform a search and display the devices linked to your SmarterHome™ account. When your devices have successfully connected to the Alexa app, you will be able to control your Kogan SmarterHome™ devices via Alexa's voice commands.

Note:

Please note that Alexa can only control the base/core functions of any compatible SmarterHome™ devices. To make full use of this product's smart functionality, please use the Kogan SmarterHome™ app.

OPERATION

Turn the Heater On/Off

1. Connect the heater to a power socket and turn on the main switch: the heater will be in standby (setting, up, down and power buttons illuminate).
2. Press the power button to begin heating operation: the display will show the current ambient temperature.
3. Press the power button to turn the heater off.

Temperature Setting

1. Press the setting button first to enter the temperature setting mode. Use the up and down buttons to select the desired temperature (5–45°C).
2. The selected temperature will be set when there is no input for 5 seconds.

Timer Setting

1. With a timer set, the heater will turn off automatically once the set time has been reached.
2. Press the setting button twice to enter the timer setting mode. Use the up and down buttons to select the desired timer (in hours).
3. The current timer setting will be accepted when there is no input for 5 seconds.

High/Low Power Mode Selection

Press the Setting button on the remote and then press the “☐” button to toggle between high and low power modes. The respective indicator will be illuminated.

• Pressing the Up “♡” button on the heater during operation will enable High power mode. The indicator will illuminate. To return to normal heating mode press the Up “♡” button again. The indicator will turn off.
• Pressing the Down “√” button on the heater during operation will enable Low power mode. The indicator will illuminate. To return to normal heating mode press the Down “√” button again. The indicator will turn off.

Child-Lock Function

1. In heating mode, press and hold both up and down buttons on the display for 3 seconds and the child lock function will be enabled. After 5 seconds, the display will show the ambient temperature.
2. To remove the child lock, press and hold both up and down buttons on the display for 2 seconds again.

Display Buttons Activation

During operation, the display buttons will not be illuminated. Touch the panel below the display and they will come on.

Switch Between Fahrenheit and Celsius

Press the Setting button and the Up button at the same time for 10 seconds.

Eco Function (Night Mode)

In this mode the heater will turn off the display and only the heating mode & timer indicators will be shown.

1. To enable ECO mode, press and hold the setting and down buttons for 3 seconds. Alternatively, press the ECO button on the remote control.
2. To turn the display back on, press the ECO button on the remote or touch the display.

Wi-Fi Reset

1. During operation, press and hold the setting button for 5 seconds.
2. Wi-Fi will now be reset, and the Wi-Fi indicator light will be flashing rapidly.
3. Connect the heater to the Kogan SmarterHome™ app following the steps from the “Connect To SmarterHome™ App” section of this user guide.

Tip-over switch

Auto turn off function: The product is equipped with tip-over switch, if the heater falls over, place it back upright and restart.

Using the App

Notes:

• When device is online, it can be controlled.
• When device is offline, it displays "Offline" and cannot be remotely powered on.

CLEANING & CARE

Cleaning the Heater

• Disconnect the power supply to the heater before cleaning.
• Ensure that the heater has been allowed to cool down completely before cleaning.
• Holding both sides of the heater, lift upwards and then pull forwards. The heater requires regular cleaning, to ensure trouble-free operation.
• Use a damp cloth (not wet) to wipe the exterior of the heater to remove dust and dirt.
• Use a vacuum cleaner to remove dust and fluff from around the grilles. Failure to do this may cause discoloration.
• Ensure the heater is dry before connecting back into the power supply.

If the power cord is damaged must be replaced. Cease use immediately and contact help.Kogan.com for support.

Storage

If you do not plan to use the heater for extended periods of time, it is recommended that the heater is cleaned and then stored (preferably in its original packaging) in a cool dry place.
