How do I connect the EXACKT TV Decoder?

Connect the decoder to your TV via an HDMI cable. Plug in the power adapter and turn on the decoder. Select the correct HDMI input on your TV.

How do I scan for channels?

Go to the Settings menu, select Channel Scan, choose your antenna type (DVB-T/C/S), and start the automatic scan. The decoder will store all available channels.

Can I record TV shows?

Yes, you can record by connecting a USB storage device to the USB port. Use the Record button on the remote or schedule recordings via the EPG.

How do I use the Electronic Program Guide?

How do I update the firmware?

Why is there no picture or sound?

Verify the HDMI cable connection is secure and the TV is on the correct input. Check if the decoder is powered on. Try restarting the decoder by unplugging it for 10 seconds.

Can I connect the decoder to the internet?

Yes, you can connect via Ethernet cable or Wi-Fi (if available). Go to Network Settings to configure the connection.

How do I set up parental controls?

Go to Settings > Parental Control. Enable the feature and set a PIN. You can then lock specific channels or set age ratings for programs.

What does the reset button do?

The reset button restores the decoder to factory defaults. All settings and channel lists will be erased. Use a paperclip to press the button inside the small hole on the back.

1. Introduction

The EXACKT can extend a 1080p/720p high definition video / audio signal and one-way IR up to 70 meters (230 feet) between transmitter and receiver over the existing AC wiring. The EXACKT transmitter encodes a 1080p/720p HDMI signal into H.265 and uses the existing AC wiring to transmit the HDMI signal to the receiver elsewhere in the same venue as long as the AC is in the same electrical box and same phase. Most residences have the electrical outlets wired in the same phase.

The EXACKT kit includes two units: transmitter unit and receiver unit. The transmitter unit is responsible for transmitting the HDMI input signal via the AC wiring and emitting IR control signals sent from the IR RX at the receiver end. The receiver unit is responsible for receiving the HDMI signal and transmitting IR control signal.

Please note up to two more receivers (decoders) can be added to an EXACKT kit (sold separately). All devices need to be on the same electrical panel in order to operate correctly. The part number is EXACDEC.

7. Warranty

Should you feel that this product does not function adequately due to defects in materials or workmanship, we (referred to as "the warrantor") will, for the length of the period indicated below (starting from the original date of the purchase) either a) repair the product with new or refurbished parts. Or b) Replace the product with new or refurbished product. All Simplified MFG products are covered by a 3-year PARTS and LABOR warranty. During this period there will be no charge for unit repair, replacement of unit components or replacement of the product if deemed necessary. The decision to repair or replace is made by the warrantor. The purchaser must mail in the product during the warranty period. This limited warranty only covers the product purchased as new and is extended to the original purchaser only. It is non-transferrable to subsequent owners, even during the warranty period. A purchase receipt or other proof of purchase date is required for the limited warranty service.

The EXACKT is a HDMI over power wire solution. Perfect when you have no wiring infrastructure and it is cost prohibitive to retrofit it. The EXACKT is a kit that allows HDMI 1080p to be transmitted on the existing electrical wiring in the venue. Simply plug your source into the transmitter, plug it into the wall and it will broadcast over the existing wiring to a receiver where you will have an HDMI output to your display.
