Our company is not liable for any accident or damage caused by the method not described in the installation manual or without using the specified components. Any product failure caused by such installation is out of the product warranty.

Installation location
Because this product is for food storage, use caution for place of installation.
■ Product use or storage in a hot-spring area or near a sea coast may result in a failure. (Due to high concentration of sulfuric acid or salt.) ■Product use in a location of possible freezing may cause a failure. ■ For the purpose of fully utilizing the product function, use it in the ambient temperature range of 5 °C to 35 °C. Cooling performance may deteriorate outside this range. ■Place the product away from direct sunlight or heat-generating equipment as much as possible. A close distance degrades cooling performance. ■Do not use the product outdoors. Use of the product with in a place affected by rainwater may cause current leak or electrical shock. Also, avoid a continuously humid location near a water faucet or kitchen sink. ■Water condensation on the product exterior or door may be caused in a high humidity atmosphere or with a certain internal temperature setting. In such a case, install the product where wet floor does not cause a problem. ■For the purpose of good draining of thawed water, install the product horizontally or slightly tilted toward the back. For the purpose of fully utilizing product functions, secure an empty space of 300 mm or greater above the product and 50 mm or greater back of the product. Please secure an appropriate space around the side of the product. ■Correctly install the drain hose. The customer should not perform installation work by himself.
- Do not directly connect the drain pipe to the sewer pipe. To avoid back flow of drain water, do not dip the tip of the drain hose into the sewage water.
- When a drain channel is not located nearby, a separate pipe should be connected for enabling drain connection. ● Always install a trap on the freezer drain hose. Without a trap, cooling failure may be caused.

Install the product horizontally or slightly tilted toward the back on a sturdy flat floor.
In addition, secure the product with a bracket to avoid falling due to an earthquake, etc.
Incorrect installation may cause water leakage or injury from falling.
To avoid vibration or noise from the product, install it in a stable condition.
The 2 parts at the bottom should be fixed by the fall prevention bracket.

How to Use
Before operation
Use a dedicated power outlet.
Do not connect the power cord in the middle, or avoid using an extension cord or branching connection. It may cause electrical shock, heat generation or fire.
Remove packaging materials and tape, and open the door for a while for ventilation. Take out accessories from the compartment and check them. (See Page 9) Correctly attach shelf brackets and wire shelves. (See Page 13) Although the interior was cleaned during packaging, clean it again. Perform a test operation.
Operate for approximately 1 hour after connecting to the power, and use it after confirming the interior of the compartment is cool.

How to use the product wisely
Poor circulation of cold air may cause quality deterioration of stored items. Do not block the suction and blow-out ports.
For the purpose of ensuring good circulation of cold air, food items need to be placed with appropriate spacing between them.

Ice-making in the freezer increases compartment temperature and frozen food may thaw. Do not make ice. For saving energy:
- Keep door opening frequency as small as possible, and door opening time as short as possible. Close every door securely.
- Use appropriate temperature for the stored items.
- Remove dust on the condenser filter as often as possible.

- Open the grill by lifting it as shown by the arrow.

■When opening the grill and securing the position
● Both sides may be hooked for keeping it open. - Lift it higher than the horizontal position (1), and slowly push it in (2), and then lower it (3) to secure.


Caution
Lifting the grill too high would cause the stopper to activate. Do not lift it further.
Stopper may be damaged.
- For unhooking the secured position, lift the grill to the horizontal position (1) and pull it until it hits the stopper (2) and then lower it.

Caution
Pressing down the grill while it is pushed in may cause breakage.

■When removing the grill
- Pull the lower edge of both sides slightly (1) and while it is tilted, slide it upward (2) to remove it.

About ECONAVI operation
■ECONAVI operation automatically performs cooling operation by judging the installed and used condition of the refrigerator or freezer and saving energy according to the environment. ■During ECONAVI operation, ECONAVI lamp is turned on. ■ECONAVI lamp will be turned off when ECONAVI operation is cancelled.
Note
ECONAVI lamp may be turned off temporarily during ECONAVI operation according to the installed and used condition, but it is not a failure.
How to set temperature
Compartment temperature has been set at 3 °C (refrigerator) and -20 °C (freezer) at the time of shipment.
When temperature setting is necessary, follow the direction shown below.
■When changing the set temperature.....
- Press the temperature setting button "☐". (The display changes to setting mode. Compartment temperature display blinks to show the set temperature.)
- Press Temperature Adjustment button " ▲" or " ▼", and set the desired temperature within the range of adjustment.
- Press the temperature setting button " - " again. (Setting is memorized and changes to the display mode. Compartment temperature is displayed in the compartment temperature indicator.)
Note
After 1 minute without any operation, the display changes to indication mode. In such a case, setting is not memorized and the setting is left as before.

Temperature setting range: -6 °C to 12 °C
< Freezer >
Initial Setting: -20 °C

Temperature setting range: -25 °C to -15 °C
About defrosting
■Defrosting of the cooling unit is automatically executed approximately every 6 hours. ■During defrosting, compartment temperature indicator displays " dF".
After defrosting, the compartment temperature will rise slightly, but the impact on food temperature is minimal and the product can be used continuously.
In the case of a power failure, defrosting starts approximately 6 hours after power recovery.
Forced defrosting can be started by pressing the temperature adjustment buttons "▲" and "▼" at the same time for 3 seconds or longer, with the next defrosting starting approximately 6 hours later.
How to Use
How to install a shelf bracket and wire shelf
The height of the wire shelf can be adjusted in 12.5 mm steps.
Adjust the attachment position of the shelf bracket according to the size of the storage items.
(1) Insert the top tongue of a shelf bracket into a hole of the shelf support pillar to hook it. (2) Insert the bottom tongue into the adjustment hole and press it in until the shelf bracket is secured.
CAUTION
Correctly attach the shelf brackets and wire shelves.

Disengagement may lead to injury.
Request
Install each shelf bracket by using the same numbered hole in other shelf support pillars to maintain the wire shelf level. In the product equipped with a center pillar (front support pillar), the shelf support pillar is attached not only on the side and back surfaces of the compartment, but also on the center pillar. Install all shelf brackets.


(3) When a wire shelf has hooks, check the top and bottom surfaces and attach it with the hooks facing the back side, and place it on the shelf bracket. The wire shelf without hooks is for bottom use. Check the top and bottom sides and install it on the bottom level.



Request
When placing a wire shelf, insert it into the compartment at a tilted angle.
How to place stored items
■Use the product for temporary storage of food items.
Use of the product for other purposes may cause quality deterioration of stored items.
■This product is not intended for the storage of medicinal products
or academic materials. Please use a refrigerator specially designed for such purposes.
■Tightly seal each food item.
- Food items containing acetic acid and yeast such as prepared sushi rice or bread dough may cause corrosion of the cooling unit. Store such items in a sealed container or wrap with food wrapping film. For the purpose of avoiding smell transfer or drying, store food in a sealed container or wrap with food wrapping film.
■Always place stored items on the wire shelf. Directly placing items on the bottom surface would damage the surface and generate rust. ■When placing items on the wire shelf, limit the weight to 60 kg for a center pillar type. Place items for achieving uniform load.
Do not throw items into the compartment. Shelf bracket may come off and lead to injury.

■Always check the storage period of food and apply first-in first-out rule.

■Avoid placing food not to be frozen near the blow-out opening of the refrigerator. (eggs, vegetables, etc.) ■Cool down hot items fully before storing.

How to Inspect and Care

Exterior and Compartment
Periodical care is required for continued clean use of the product. Wipe with a piece of dry soft cloth.
When attachment is felt severe, wipe with a piece of cloth with neutral detergent and then wipe off with water-soaked cloth.
Stainless-steel surface may get rusted with strong attachment of acid, salt or other contamination.
Use of alkali, or acid detergent, acid, oil, thinner, benzine, alcohol, tooth paste, powder soap, hot water, or scrubber will damage the painted surface or plastic. Do not use them.
Use neutral kitchen detergent as directed on the container.
Condenser filter
Clean once or twice a month.
Detach the condenser filter and remove accumulated dust.
Use neutral detergent if severely contaminated.
How to detach the condenser filter
- Open the grill and secure it in the opened position. (See page 11)
- Detach the condenser filter. Slide the filter upward (1) and then pull it out (2). After cleaning, install the dry filter. A condenser without a filter accumulates dust and can lead to failure.
- Always close the grill during use. (An open grill may lead to injury.)



How to Inspect and Care

CAUTION
Do not touch the condenser fin directly with your hands.

It may lead to injury.
Wear gloves when cleaning.
Clean the condenser after stopping operation and when it is cool.

The condenser is hot during cooling operation and can cause skin burns.
Condenser
Clean once every 6 months.
- Remove the power plug from the receptacle.
- Open the grill and secure it in the open position. (See Page 11)
- Pull out the condenser filter to remove it.
- Slide a soft brush on the filter in an up/down direction to remove dust.
Request
Use caution not to damage the condenser fin.
- Install the condenser filter.
- Always close the grill during use. (An open grill may lead to injury.)


Door packing
After wiping with a wet and soft cloth, finish wiping with a dry cloth. Using the door packing with attachment of fermented milk drink or condiment would damage the packing. Clean the door packing and contacting surfaces without fail.
Drain port (Refrigerator only)
Clean periodically.
Remove parts from the product for water washing. Using with contamination would cause water leak in the compartment, defrosting defect, and other problems.

How to Inspect and Care
Drain path
Request cleaning periodically in one or two-year interval.
*Exclude Page 16 "Drain Outlet"
Accumulation in the drain path disturbs normal flow of defrosted water or condensed water.
Accumulated water from defrosting and condensing penetrates the product body to cause "performance deterioration of heat insulation material" and leads to "poor cooling" or current leak in the electrical components.
Cleaning interval varies by product construction and installed environment.
Use as only a guideline. Contact your distributor for cleaning of the drain path.

Do not clean the path by the user.
Prohibited
Cleaning may require disassembly of the product.
It may lead to injury.
Power plug
Clean regularly.
Disconnect the power plug and remove dust from the terminals.
Also clean the dust around the power plug.
After cleaning, wait for 5 minutes before inserting the power plug into the outlet.
< Do not clean dust with a wet hand.>
* Depending on the place of installation or environment, dust accumulation is much faster than expected. Check periodically.
Please confirm
■After completing cleaning, perform the following inspections.
● Is the power plug securely inserted into the power outlet? - Isn't there any abnormal heating in the power plug? - Isn't there any crack, scratch, or trace of rat bite on the power cord?

How to Inspect and Care
About error code display
■When a problem occurs while using the product, an error code is displayed blinking in the compartment temperature display. Check the following and if the error code still remains, contact the product distributor.

* "E7" error indication does not disappear until the power plug is disconnected. Correct the problem and after 5 minutes, reconnect the power plug. When the same error code appears after operation for 1 hour or so, contact your distributor.
In the Following Cases
Power failure
Reduce door opening as much as possible. Avoid adding food inside to prevent increased compartment temperature.
When the product is not used for a long time
Remove all food items from the compartment, clean the interior, and wipe off any moisture. Open the door to dry the interior to avoid mold generation or remaining smell.
CAUTION
Disconnect the power plug when the product is not used for a long time.

Dust accumulation may lead to heat generation or fire.
When the product is temporarily left unused
Attach a piece of wood between the door and body to prevent the door from being tightly closed.
WARNING
When storing the product temporarily, avoid leaving it where children play and make the door unable to lock.

Left-over product may lead to a child locked in or other accident.
When discarding the product
Request a specialty operator for discarding the product. Contact your distributor for more detail.

Before requesting a repair

Check out the following items and still the problem exists or abnormal sound, smell or smoke is detected, immediately unplug and move the stored food to other refrigerator, etc. and consult with the product distributor. Please notify the items listed on page 21. When contacting, also report the blinking error code.
