How do I clean the brush roll?

To clean the brush roll, remove the brush roll cover and use the cleaning tool provided to remove hair and debris. Rinse under water and allow to dry before reinstalling. For deep cleaning, use the self-cleaning cycle by pressing the self-clean button after use.

How long does the battery last?

The battery runtime is up to 30 minutes on a full charge. Actual runtime may vary based on floor type and usage mode. The battery status light on the handle shows the remaining charge: green (70-100%), yellow (40-69%), red (10-39%), red flashing (0-9%).

Can I use any cleaning solution?

Only use Bissell approved cleaning solutions for the CrossWave Cordless. Using other solutions may damage the machine and void the warranty. We recommend Bissell CrossWave Multi-Surface Cleaning Formula.

How do I empty the dirty water tank?

Turn off the machine and remove the dirty water tank by pressing the release button. Empty the contents into a sink, rinse the tank with clean water, and allow to dry. Ensure the float and screen are clean before reattaching.

Why is the machine not spraying water?

Check if the clean water tank is properly seated and has enough water. Ensure the tank cap is tightened. If still not spraying, the spray nozzle may be clogged. Use a paperclip to gently clear the nozzle opening.

How do I maintain the filter?

The mesh filter should be rinsed under water every 5 uses and replaced every 3 months. Always ensure the filter is completely dry before reinstalling to prevent mold and odors.

What floors can I use the CrossWave Cordless on?

The CrossWave Cordless is designed for sealed hard floors such as tile, laminate, vinyl, and hardwood. It is not recommended for carpet or rugs. Do not use on unsealed wood.

How do I store the machine?

Store the machine upright in a cool, dry place. Remove and empty both water tanks. Do not store with water in the tanks. Keep the battery partially charged (around 50%) if storing for extended periods.

What do I do if the machine has low suction?

First, empty and clean the dirty water tank. Check the brush roll for obstructions and clean it. Also rinse the filter. If suction remains low, ensure the clean water tank is not overfilled and the float is moving freely.

Can I use the machine while charging?

No, the CrossWave Cordless cannot be used while charging. It is a cordless machine that operates on battery power only. Always unplug the charger before use.
