How many ice cubes can I shave at once?

You can shave about 8–12 ice cubes at a time, depending on size and shape. Do not overfill the ice chute or the interlock safety will prevent operation.

Can I immerse the unit in water for cleaning?

No, never immerse the main housing or any electrical part in water. Only the removable snow bin, cones, and scooper can be washed with water or on the top rack of the dishwasher.

How do I clean the blade safely?

Do not touch the blade. Pour warm water down the ice chute to clear any ice or syrup residue. The blade is very sharp and the unit must be unplugged before cleaning.

Why won't the ice crusher turn on?

Check that the toggle switch is in the ON position and the unit is plugged in. The interlock safety may also prevent operation if the ice chute is overfilled. Remove some ice and try again.

Can I use any type of ice?

Standard ice cubes work best. Avoid using ice that is too large or irregularly shaped to prevent jamming.

How do I assemble the snow cone maker?

Place the unit on a flat, sturdy surface. Insert the removable snow bin onto the main housing. Ensure the toggle switch is OFF before plugging in. Then add ice and press the ice press down while flipping the switch to ON.

What accessories come with the SCM-10?

The package includes the main unit, a snow bin, two plastic cones, and an ice scooper.

Is the blade replaceable?

The blade is not user-replaceable. For service, contact Cuisinart or an authorized repair center.

Carefully unpack your Cuisinart® Snow Cone Maker. Remove plastic bags from all parts of the unit. Rinse the snow bin with water and a non-abrasive cleanser, and then dry thoroughly.

OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS

Place unit on a flat, sturdy

surface where it will not be

knocked over. Check ice chute

for presence of foreign objects before plugging in. WARNING: DO NOT TOUCH BLADE.

Insert the removable snow

bin onto the main housing. Be

sure that the toggle switch is set to the OFF position and plug into an outlet.

To begin shaving ice, drop approx. 8–12 ice cubes (depending on size and shape) into the ice chute. Do not overfill or the interlock safety feature will prevent the shaving mechanism from turning on.

Flip the toggle switch to the

ON position and firmly push

the ice press down to start the ice-shaving mechanism.

When all the ice has been shaved, turn the toggle switch to the OFF position and

unplug. Remove the snow bin from the main housing and use the ice scooper to shape your snow cones.

Add ingredients specified in the recipe section of the instruction booklet or as desired.

CLEANING AND CARE

The Snow Cone Maker must be off and unplugged before cleaning or storing

1. NEVER IMMERSE UNIT IN WATER OR PLACE IT IN DISHWASHER.
2. WARNING: BLADE IS SHARP. DO NOT come in contact with the blade or attempt to reach inside the ice chute to clean the blade. To clean blade shaving mechanism, pour warm water down the ice chute to clear any ice or syrup residue that may have become lodged inside while crushing ice.
3. Wash snow bin, plastic cones and ice scooper using a non-abrasive cleanser and water, or place on the top rack of the dishwasher. Dry thoroughly.
4. Wipe main housing and ice press with a clean, damp cloth.

IMPORTANT!

Do not attempt to push ice cubes into blade using hands or instruments.

Use the ice press only.
