First, open the upper tray and remove the screw inside. Then remove the tray, take out screws from the OEM head unit, and pull the unit out. Finally, detach the button unit from the OEM head unit.

How do I attach the OEM button unit to the face plate?

After removing the button unit from the OEM head unit, attach it to the provided face plate using the highlighted area (see step 7 in the manual). It clips or screws in place.

What is a double DIN stereo?

A double DIN stereo is twice the height of a standard DIN unit (approx. 4 inches tall). This kit is designed for double DIN aftermarket radios.

How do I mount the aftermarket radio?

Attach the mounting brackets to the new double DIN head unit, place it in the dashboard, and secure with two screws as indicated in the manual. Then clip on the face plate and reinstall the upper tray.

INTRODUCTION/PRELIMINARY

This premium installation kit is for 2010-Up Volkswagen Touareg II (7P/7PH) vehicles with base model radio (dash modification required). Included are all the parts you need to mount your car stereo or CD player into your vehicle's dash. Refer to individual instruction in this manual to remove your vehicles factory radio and assemble the kit.

CAUTION: DISCONNECT YOUR VEHICLE NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL BEFORE THE INSTALLATION TO HELP PREVENT ELECTRICAL DAMAGE. WE RECOMMEND THE USE OF A VOLT/OHM METER OVER A TEST LIGHT TO CHECK WIRING. A TEST LIGHT OR GROUNDED WIRE PROBE CAN CAUSE DAMAGE TO THE VEHICLE'S COMPUTER AND/OR DIAGNOSTIC SYSTEMS. FACTORY STEREO REMOVAL

Step 1

Open upper tray on dashboard and locate the screw in the middle of the upper tray (See arrow)
