How do I install the SLB212 bracket on my projector?

Turn the projector upside down on a flat surface. Place the bracket on the bottom, aligning holes with threaded inserts. Use M6 x 10mm screws and washers to secure the bracket. Tighten all fasteners securely but do not over tighten.

What mounts are compatible with the SLB212?

The SLB212 is designed for use with Chief® Series Projector Mounts. Refer to the mount's installation instructions for details.

Is a security kit included?

Yes, an All-Points Security Kit is included for alternative security screw installation. Use it if you want to replace the standard screws.

What hardware is provided with the SLB212?

The kit includes one interface bracket, four M6 flat washers, four 10-24 thumb nuts (for SLB/SSB only), four M6 x 10mm pan head screws, and one All-Points Security Kit.

Can I use different screws than those supplied?

No. WARNING: Do not substitute hardware. Use only the hardware supplied by the manufacturer to avoid equipment falling and injury.

How tight should the mounting screws be?

Tighten screws until snug, but do not over tighten. Over tightening can damage parts and lead to equipment failure.

What is the difference between SLB and SLM brackets?

The SLB212 (and SSB) use thumb nuts and pre-installed screws for installation. The SLM (and SSM) do not require thumb nuts. Follow specific steps for each type.

How do I know which bracket style I have?

Check the bracket markings: SLB/SSB have thumb nut connections; SLM/SSM have different connection styles. Refer to the manual for encircled connection points.

Can I mount the projector with the bracket without thumb nuts?

Only if you have an SLM/SSM bracket. For SLB/SSB, thumb nuts are required. Skip step 1 in the instructions if using SLM/SSM.

INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS

SSB-212, SSM-212, SLB-212 and SLM-212 Interface Brackets

SSB-212, SSM-212, SLB-212 and SLM-212 Interface Brackets are designed for use with Chief® Series Projector Mounts. See the specific installation instructions provided with the mount for additional installation information.

Unpack carton and verify kit contents. If any listed parts are missing, immediately contact a Chief Customer Service representative.

NOTE: Specific to SSB-style and SSM-style interface bracket installation, all appropriate screws come pre-installed as reflected in the encircled locations above. DO NOT attempt to substitute and USE ONLY this pre-installed hardware for SSB-style and SSM-style interface bracket installation.

Installation Instructions

WARNING: OVER TIGHTENING OF SCREWS CAN DAMAGE PARTS AND CAN LEAD TO SERIOUS PERSONAL INJURY AND DAMAGE TO EQUIPMENT! DO NOT over tighten screws when installing interface brackets.

NOTE: Step 1 is only required when installing an SLB/SSB interface bracket. If an SLM/SSM bracket is being installed, proceed to step 2.

1. Screw thumb screws onto 10-24 x 5/8" Phillips pan head screws. DO NOT fully tighten thumb screws at this time.
2. Turn projector upside down on a flat surface.
3. Place the interface bracket onto the bottom of the projector and align the holes in the bracket with the threaded inserts in the bottom of the projector.
4. Using the M6 x 10mm mounting screws and washers, position screws with washers into the mounting holes. Tighten all fasteners at this time, securing the bracket to the projector.

NOTE: Security screws can be substituted when mounting interface bracket to projector by using the parts and installation instructions in the All-Points Security Kit.
