Frequently Asked Questions - 99-7368HG Metra

What vehicles is the Metra 99-7368HG compatible with?
This dash kit is designed for select Honda and Acura models, including the Honda Civic (2006-2011), Accord (2008-2012), and Acura RSX (2002-2006), Integra (1994-2001), and others. Always verify your vehicle's specific model and trim before installation.
Does this kit fit single-DIN or double-DIN radios?
The Metra 99-7368HG typically accommodates a single-DIN aftermarket radio by default. For double-DIN installation, you may need an additional adapter or modification depending on your vehicle's dash depth.
What tools are required for installation?
You will need basic hand tools: a panel removal tool or flathead screwdriver, a Phillips screwdriver, and possibly a socket set for the factory radio removal. No special tools are required.
Does the kit include the installation instructions?
Yes, the kit includes a printed installation manual with step-by-step directions and a wiring harness adapter reference. You can also download the manual in PDF from the manufacturer's support site.
Is the Metra 99-7368HG painted or color-matched?
The kit comes in a textured matte black finish that closely matches the factory OEM interior color of most Honda and Acura vehicles. It may not be an exact match for every trim, but it blends well.
Can I use this kit without modifying the vehicle?
In most cases, no modification is necessary. The kit is designed to fit directly into the existing dash opening and snap into place. Some vehicles may require removal of the factory radio brackets or installation of the included brackets.
How do I clean the dash kit?
Clean the kit with a soft, dry microfiber cloth. Avoid using abrasive cleaners or solvents, as they may damage the finish. For stubborn dirt, slightly dampen the cloth with water.
Does the kit include a wiring harness?
No, the kit does not include a wiring harness. You will need a separate vehicle-specific wiring harness adapter (e.g., Metra 70-1721) to connect the aftermarket radio to the car's electrical system.
Is the Metra 99-7368HG a genuine OEM part?
No, it is an aftermarket replacement dash kit manufactured by Metra. However, it is designed to match the OEM look and quality, and is widely used by professional installers.
What should I do if the kit does not fit my vehicle?
First, double-check compatibility using Metra's online fitment guide. If it still does not fit, contact Metra customer support or your retailer for return or exchange. Do not force the kit, as it may damage the dashboard.
