What types of bills can be counted?

The SEG-050 is designed to count paper currency of most denominations. It supports bills of various sizes and conditions, but extremely wrinkled, torn, or taped bills may cause errors.

How to set the batch function?

Press the 'BATCH' button repeatedly to select the desired batch quantity (e.g., 50, 100). The machine will stop counting when the batch count is reached. Press 'BATCH' again to exit batch mode.

What do the error codes mean?

Common errors include 'Half Note' (folded bill), 'Chain' (two bills stuck together), and 'UV Error' (suspicious bill). Refer to the user manual for a full list. Most errors can be cleared by removing the problematic bill.

Why is the counter not starting?

Ensure the power cord is securely connected and the outlet is working. Check that the hopper contains bills and the stacker is not full. If the display shows 'Err', press 'CLEAR' or restart the machine.

The SEG-050 counts the number of bills, not the value. For mixed denominations, you can sort them manually or use the 'ADD' function to accumulate counts per batch. The machine does not differentiate by denomination.

Roller replacement should be done by a qualified technician. Contact Steren customer service or an authorized service center. Never attempt to open the main unit yourself.

What is the recommended usage environment?

Place the counter on a flat, stable surface. Avoid direct sunlight, high humidity, and dust. Operating temperature: 10°C to 40°C (50°F to 104°F). Keep away from strong magnetic fields.

How to update firmware?

The SEG-050 does not have user-upgradeable firmware. If needed, contact Steren support for potential firmware updates via service centers.

What is covered under warranty?

Steren provides a limited warranty covering manufacturing defects for one year from the date of purchase. Normal wear, consumables (rollers), and damage due to misuse are not covered. Keep your receipt.

WARRANTY

This Steven product is warranted under normal usage against defects in workmanship and materials to the original purchaser for one year from the date of purchase.

CONDITIONS
