What video formats does the HD-SD-HDMI-PRO support?

It supports SD (525i, 625i), HD (720p, 1080i, 1080p at various frame rates), and 3G (1080p@50/59.94/60Hz) SDI formats, compliant with SMPTE standards.

What is the maximum cable length for different SDI types?

Using Belden 1694A coax: SD-SDI up to 400m (1300ft), HD-SDI up to 200m (600ft), 3G-SDI up to 120m (400ft). Actual distance depends on cable quality and source signal.

How do I switch between PAL and NTSC output?

Use the K2 switch on the device. Off = NTSC (default), On = PAL. This sets the CVBS output format.

Why is there no video output?

Check power (5V-12V DC), verify SDI signal is active (SDI LOCK LED should be green), and ensure cables are properly connected. Also check the OSD setting: if K1 is on, video disappears immediately on signal loss; if off, it stays for 5 seconds.

Does the device extract audio from SDI?

Yes, the HD-SD-HDMI-PRO automatically embeds SDI audio into the HDMI signal and also provides analog stereo audio via the 3.5mm jack.

What does the RUN LED indicate?

The RUN LED (green) flickers when the device is ready. If off, the device is not ready. PWR (red) indicates power on/off.

Can I use this device with a 5V power supply?

Yes, the device accepts 5V~12V DC. It comes with a 12V 1A adapter, but a 5V supply within the range works as long as it can provide sufficient power (6W max).

How do I clean the device?

Unplug the power first. Use a dry, soft cloth. Do not use liquid or aerosol cleaners, and avoid moisture.

Is the device waterproof?

No, it is designed for indoor use only. Keep away from water and high humidity. Operating temperature is 0°C-40°C.

What should I do if the device malfunctions?

Do not attempt to open or repair yourself (no user-serviceable parts). Contact qualified service personnel. For warranty claims, return the product prepaid with proof of purchase within one year.

HD-SD-HDMI-PRO

This device converts a single channel SDI signal to different kinds of HD Multimedia HDMI signals and CVBS signals. It integrates SDI Cable equalizer and relocked to enhance video performance and stability. Simultaneously, it also separates and converts the audio signals of SDI, embedding it to HDMI signal or output to analog audio DACs.

IMPORTANT NOTE: Cable & Connector for HD SDI Camera

In order to achieve the best quality and long range coax cable run of up to 200m / 600ft, you will need:

1. Good Quality Cable: We suggest using RG6 Belden 1694A Low Loss Serial Digital coax cable because RG6 cables have better grounding than RG59 cables. RG6 is for Digital Signal and RG59 is for Analog Signal.
2. Good Quality BNC Connectors: Contact Plating Gold plated pins provide exceptional conductivity.
3. Good Quality Installation: Do not over cut the braid because it will affect the grounding. The image will have lines and noise.
