Frequently Asked Questions - PACVISO1 Chief

What is the PACVISO1 accessory used for?
The PACVISO1 is a vibration isolation wall mount accessory designed to provide extra stability and reduce vibrations for displays mounted on compatible Chief wall mounts, particularly the RMF3 FIT-series.
What is the maximum weight capacity of the PACVISO1?
The maximum weight capacity depends on the wall type: 125 lbs (56.7 kg) when mounted to wood or steel studs, and 75 lbs (34.0 kg) when mounted to drywall-only walls. Always ensure the combined weight of all components does not exceed these limits.
Can the PACVISO1 be installed on any wall type?
It is designed for three wall types: 2"x4" wood studs (16" on center), steel studs (minimum 25ga), and drywall-only (minimum 1/2" thickness). The drywall thickness must be between 1/2" and 5/8" for stud walls.
What tools are needed for installation?
You will need a Phillips screwdriver, open-ended wrench, hex-head wrench, security wrench, drill, pencil, and a level. All fasteners are included in the package.
Is the PACVISO1 compatible with all Chief wall mounts?
No, the PACVISO1 is only compatible with the RMF3 FIT-series wall mount. It is not designed for other Chief mounts or third-party products.
How do I ensure safe installation?
Follow all instructions carefully. The structure must be capable of supporting five times the combined weight of all equipment. Use the provided fasteners and ensure proper pilot holes. Never exceed the weight capacity or use the accessory outdoors.
What is included in the box?
The package includes: vertical brackets (A), stud plates (B), top caps (C), lower bracket (D), wall bracket (E), various screws, washers, lag bolts, and snaptoggle anchors for drywall installation.
Can I install this accessory on a wall with existing drywall?
Yes, but the drywall must be at least 1/2" thick. For drywall-only installations (no studs), use the provided snaptoggle anchors and follow the instructions for steel stud/drywall-only mounting.
Does the PACVISO1 provide vibration isolation?
Yes, as a vibration isolation accessory, it helps reduce vibrations transmitted from the wall to the display, providing a more stable picture and protecting the equipment.
Where can I find the complete installation manual?
The full manual is available for free download in PDF format from the product page on notice-facile.com. It includes detailed step-by-step instructions, diagrams, and safety warnings.

Installing Lower Wall Bracket

The PACVISO1 mount is designed to be mounted to:

  • a 2" x 4" wood studs (16" on center) wall (min. 1/2", max. 5/8" drywall thickness); or
    • a steel stud (16" on center) wall (min. 1/2", max. 5/8" drywall thickness); or
  • a drywall-only wall (minimum thickness of 1/2")

  • Place the lower wall bracket (E) on the wall in the desired location, making sure both mounting slots are positioned over a wall stud. Hold the bracket level and mark the locations of both mounting slots. (See Figure 1)

  • Remove the lower wall bracket (E) from the wall and drill one pilot hole (7/32" wood stud, 1/2" steel stud) at each location. (See Figure 1)

IMPORTANT ! : Refer to Fastener Installation Methods (located in Appendix at end of Installation Instructions) for details on installing product into various wall types.

  1. Replace lower wall bracket (E) on wall and install using:
