How do I install batteries in the shower pump?

Twist the pump unit lid counter-clockwise to remove. Loosen the screw on the pump that holds the battery compartment cover. Insert 6 new alkaline 'AA' batteries, ensuring correct polarity. Tighten the screw and replace the cover, then screw the lid clockwise. Place the pump unit into the removable top and twist clockwise to secure.

What is the correct water temperature for my baby?

The recommended bath water temperature is between 90°F and 100°F (32.2°C – 37.8°C). The temperature strip on the front of the reservoir shows green for this range. Red indicates too hot, blue too cold. Never rinse baby when indicator is in red.

How do I fill and use the Baby Bath Shower?

Place the Baby Bath Shower into the toddler tub. Fill the reservoir through the opening on top up to the divider (about 2 inches below the rim). Check temperature strip for green. Point the spray handle toward baby and press the button to turn on. Release to stop. Only use in tub/sink with 1 inch (2.5 cm) or less of water.

The shower sprayer is not working – what should I do?

Air may be trapped in the hose. Press and hold the button a few times until water spray resumes. If still not working, check that batteries are installed correctly and that hose connections are tight.

At what stage should I stop using the newborn sling?

Discontinue use of the tub if the child can sit up unassisted. The product has 5 stages: from newborn sling in sink/tub, to toddler tub, to using the shower unit separately.

Can I use the bath center in a sink?

Yes, for newborn stage: place the bath sling in the sink with 1 inch or less of lukewarm water. Always keep sink drain open to prevent water accumulation. Never leave child unattended.

How do I clean the bath center and shower?

Surface wash only with a damp cloth, mild soap, and warm water. Do not submerge the battery compartment or run water directly on it. Ensure all hose connections and battery screws are tight after cleaning.

What safety precautions should I follow?

This is not a safety device – always keep infant within arm's reach. Never leave child unattended. Use minimal water (1 inch or less). Test water temperature before bathing. Never lift or carry the tub with infant inside. Check for damage before each use.

Can I use the shower unit without the toddler tub?

Yes, in stage 5, place the Baby Bath Shower directly in a full-size tub. Always ensure the tub has no more than 1 inch (2.5 cm) of water. Verify temperature on the strip before use.

NEWBORN-TO-TODDLER™ BATH CENTER AND SHOWER

Thank you for buying the Newborn-To-Toddler Bath Center and Shower from Summer Infant. There are 5 stages to grow with your child:

Stage 1 - Newborn bath sling fits easily in sinks

Stage 2 - Newborn bath sling fits easily in toddler tub

Stage 3 - Toddler tub for growing child

Stage 4 - Shower unit fits in toddler tub

Stage 5 - Separate shower unit to use in full size tub

WARNING: NOT A SAFETY DEVICE

• ALWAYS keep infant within adult's reach.
• NEVER lift or carry tub with infant in it.
- Do not use tub if child can sit up unassisted.
- When using tub inside a sink or adult tub, NEVER allow water to collect in sink or adult tub. ALWAYS keep sink or adult tub drain open.
- Never place child in tub until you have tested the water temperature by touch.
- Bath water should never exceed 100^ (37.8°C).
- Infants can drown in as little as 1" of water. ALWAYS bathe your infant using as little water as necessary.
- Infants can drown even when other children are present near the bather. DO NOT allow other children to substitute for an adult.
- Never use on uneven or elevated surfaces.
- Discontinue use of product if damaged, broken or disassembled.
• NEVER leave infant unattended.

BATTERY WARNING:

• Do not mix old and new batteries.
• Do not mix alkaline, standard, or rechargeable batteries.
• Remove batteries when product is stored for long period of time or when batteries are exhausted.
• Dispose of exhausted batteries properly.

FEATURES AND COMPONENTS:

BATTERY INSTALLATION:

Step 1: Twist lid of pump unit counter-clockwise (Figure A).
Step 2: Loosen screw on pump that holds the battery compartment cover in place (Figure B).
Step 3: Insert 6 new alkaline "AA" batteries into battery compartment (Figure C). Be careful

to install the batteries properly and in the right direction. Tighten and replace cover. DO NOT OVERTIGHTEN. Replace pump unit lid, turning clockwise.

Step 4: Place pump unit into removable top (Figure D).

Step 5: Turn unit over and twist clockwise until securely in place (Figure E).

Step 6: Place shower unit lid onto reservoir body (Figure F).

SET UP:

Step 1: Place the Baby Bath Shower into the Toddler Tub (Figure G).

Step 2: Fill the reservoir with water through the opening on top (Figure H). Looking down into the opening, fill only to the divider inside the reservoir (about 2" below bottom edge of opening).

Step 3: Observe the temperature strip on the front of the reservoir body to make sure the water is at the proper temperature to rinse your baby (Figure I). The green range in the middle of the strip indicates water between 90^ and 100^ F. (32.2^ - 37.8^) . This is the recommended range for bath water. The red range means the water is too hot. NEVER RINSE YOUR BABY WHEN THE INDICATOR IS IN THE RED RANGE. The blue range means the water is too cold. Add warmer water until the temperature indicator goes back into the green range.

Step 4: Never use shower in a tub or sink with more than 1 inch (2.5 cm) of water. Point the spray handle towards baby and press the button on the side of the sprayer handle to turn the sprayer on.

Step 5: Release the button to turn the sprayer off.

The Baby Bath Shower contains enough water for a complete bath. If necessary, refill the reservoir. NOTE: Occasionally, air gets trapped inside the sprayer hose and prevents water spray. To remove air from the hose, press and hold button a few times until water spray resumes.

Newborn Use: Newborn Bath Sling in Sink or Tub

To use in sink: Position bath sling on the bottom of the sink. Fill sink with 1 inch or less of lukewarm water. Place newborn on the bath sling to bathe. Never leave child unattended while in the sink.

Toddler Use: Tub for Growing Child

Position tub in a full size bathroom tub where you are bathing your child. Fill the infant tub with 1 inch or less of lukewarm water. Place child in tub to bathe. Never leave child unattended while in tub.

Shower Unit to Use in Full Size Tub

Position the Baby Bath Shower on the bottom of the full size tub where you are bathing your child. Never use in a tub or sink with more than 1" of water.

TO STORE:

Pull drain plug on bottom of Toddler Tub to release water.

To clean the Newborn-to-Toddler Bath Center and Shower, surface wash only with damp cloth, mild soap and warm water. Do not submerge the battery compartment in water or run a stream of water directly on it.

MAINTENANCE:

Make sure all hose connections are tight. Make sure all screws on the battery compartment are tight.
