How do I install the dash cam?

How do I start video recording?

The camera automatically starts recording when powered on. To manually start recording from the main interface, press the video icon. To lock the current video as an emergency file, tap the lock icon.

How do I set loop recording?

In video recording mode, tap the settings icon (gear). Navigate to Loop video recording and choose between Off, 1 min, 3 min, or 5 min. The camera will overwrite the oldest unlocked footage when the card is full.

What is motion detection and how do I use it?

Motion detection recognizes changes in the camera's field of view. When enabled in settings, the camera automatically records and saves footage when movement is detected. This is useful as a parking monitor to deter vandalism.

How do I format the MicroSD card?

Go to the main interface and tap the settings icon. Select General Setting, then Formatting. Confirm to format the card. Note: this erases all data on the card. Always use a high-speed card (Class 10 or above).

How do I reset the camera to factory settings?

In the general settings menu, select Reset and confirm. The camera will restore all settings to default. Your recorded files will not be deleted unless you also format the card.

How do I change the language?

Tap the settings icon from the main interface. Go to General Setting and select Language type. Choose from available languages: Polski, Russian, Français, Deutsch, Slovak, Español, Português, Hungarian, or Czech.

How do I view recorded videos?

From the main interface, press the Playback button (usually a folder icon). You can scroll through videos and photos using the previous and next buttons. Tap play/pause to watch. To delete or protect files, tap the lock icon while in playback mode.

How do I lock a video to prevent it from being overwritten?

During recording, tap the lock button () to lock the current video segment as an emergency file. Locked files are not overwritten by loop recording. You can also unlock files in playback mode under Protect settings.

How do I clean and maintain the dash cam?

Use a soft, lint-free cloth to gently clean the lens and screen. Keep the windshield area in front of the camera clean for best recording quality. Avoid using harsh chemicals. Do not disassemble the device. If unused, store in a dry place within the operating temperature range (-10°C to 60°C).

Introduction

Thank you for your trust and purchasing DVR MODECOM MC-CC14. Camera is equipped with high-quality components to enable accurate recording of videos and touch screen to be easy and comfortable to use. This excellent product is intended for all road users.

Physical interface

Installation

Fix the car camera with the holder, then set it to a suitable place on the glass of car, adjust to the best angle, insert MicroSD card and connect with car charger.

Plug car charger to the lighter socket of your car and connect MC-CC14 DVR to power adapter, then camera will start recoding automatically. When you shut down your car, DVR will be automatically turned off and all recorded video will be saved.

Functions

I. ON/OFF

1. Auto Switch

a) Switch on automatically the soon as any external power is connected and the recording starts along with it (when car's engine starts).

b) When the external power is stopped a prompt will show up that the external power is cut off and the system will switch off automatically in

1. Manual switch off

a) Press the power button until it switches off.

b) Press the shut-down icon on the Main Interface to switch off.

II. Main Interface

To go into main interface press ✗ in every other modes.

III. Video recording

1. The system will prompt the Auto-Recording every time the machine switches on and memory card was put into camera.

2. Every switch to Video mode initials recording, example: press video icon in main interface to start recording.

3. Manual emergency video recording: You can directly click 🔒 to lock the current video segment as an emergency video.

4. Auto emergency video recording: it will enter emergency recording in case of a car crash or if G-sensor value reaches the fixed value set for G-sensor, and lock current video segment as an emergency video.

5. On ⏻ during recording, click M button to sound record the current recorded video.

6. Off during recording, click M button to cancel sound recording of the current recorded video.

7. In Video interface, click ⏻ and ahead to set the record video. It can be set below item:

7.1. Set resolution: 1080P 30fps, 720P 30fps

7.2. Time mark: set time watermark for the recorded video, either date and time, date or OFF.

7.3. Loop video recording: 5min, 3min, 1min or off for choosing.

1. In the Main interface mode please press Photo button to go into Photo interface. Press touching screen to take photos.

8.1. In the Photo interface, click 🔒 to enter setting.
8.2. Photo resolution choose: either 5M, 3M, 2M, 1.3M or VGA.
8.3. Time mark: namely to display imaging time, either date and time, date or OFF.
8.4. Interval setting: namely the time length between photo shootings, either 5min, 3min, 1min, or one shot.
9. In the Main interface mode please press Playback button to go into Playback interface.

9.2. Delete: delete videos or images. You can choose to delete current file, ALL, or cancel.
9.3. Protect: lock or unlock videos. You can choose to set current (lock the current file), cancel current (unlock the current file), set ALL (lock all files), cancel ALL (unlock all files), or cancel (cancel protection setting and return).
9.4. Sound volume: adjust the sound volume of the system via pageup/pagedown button.

10.1. Formatting: format microSD card.
10.2. Language type: choose OSD language for the system: Polski, Russian, Français, Deutsch, Slovak, Español, Português, Hungarian, Czech.
