Operating principle
IRthermometersmeasurethesurfacetemperaturesofobjects. The device's sensormeasures the emitted, reflected and penetrated
heatradiationoftheobjectandconvertsthisinformationintoatemperaturevalue.
Measuring temperature
DirecttheopeningoftheIRsensorontotheobjectorsurfacetobemeasuredandpress„MEAS“(5).
Aslongasthebuttoniskeptdepressed, the temperature is measured and displayed (thedisplayshows „SCAN“). The last measured value is displayed on the LC display (thedisplay shows „HOLD“).
TheIRthermometershutsoffautomaticallyafterapprox.12seconds.Makesurethatthesurfacetobemeasuredislarger thanthemeasuringspot.Theratioofthedistancetospotratio(D/S)is6:1withthisIRthermometer.Thismeans,thatwitha measuringdistanceof60cm,themeasuringspothasadiameterofapprox.10cm.
Forexactmeasuring, themeasuringobjectshouldbeatleasttwiceaslargeasthemeasuringspot(holdtheIRthermometer closertothemeasuringobject,ifapplicable).

(trianglewithasunicon).Nowthelaserisactivatedautomaticallyduringmeasuring.Toturnthelaseroff,pressthebutton „LASER“(6)againandthelasericononthedisplaydisappearsagain.

Setting the measuring instructions
TheIRthermometerHT-280Hcanperformdifferentmeasuringfunctions.
Toaccesssetupmode, pressthebutton,, SET "whenthethermometeristurnedon(button „MEAS“).
