How do I connect the Atlona AT-HD50RSL?

Connect an HDMI source to the transmitter unit's input, then run a CAT5e/6 cable from the transmitter's RJ45 output to the receiver's RJ45 input. Finally, connect the receiver's HDMI output to your display. Power both units with the included 5V adapters.

What is the maximum distance supported?

The AT-HD50RSL supports transmission up to 50 meters (164 feet) over CAT5e/6 cabling for 1080p video. Distance may decrease with higher resolutions or lower cable quality.

Does it support 4K resolution?

No, this model is designed for 1080p and 3D signals. For 4K, consider Atlona's 4K HDBaseT extenders.

How do I pass IR signals through the extender?

Connect the included IR emitter to the receiver unit and the IR receiver to the transmitter unit. The IR receiver module should be placed near your source device to pick up remote commands.

What type of cable is required?

Use solid core CAT5e or CAT6 cable with RJ45 connectors. Shielded cable (STP) is recommended for longer runs or noisy environments.

Why is there no video on the display?

Check that both units are powered and the LED indicators are lit. Ensure the HDMI cable is securely connected and the source is outputting a supported resolution. Verify the CAT cable is not longer than 50m and is properly terminated.

Can I use a switch or patch panel in the CAT cable path?

It is not recommended to use switches or patch panels as they may disrupt the HDBaseT signal. For best results, use a direct cable run between transmitter and receiver.

How do I clean the device?

Use a soft, dry cloth to wipe the exterior. Do not use any liquid cleaners or abrasive materials. Keep the ventilation slots clear of dust.

Is the power adapter included?

Yes, each unit (transmitter and receiver) comes with a 5V DC 2A power adapter. Use only the supplied adapters.

What does the LED blinking mean?

A blinking Power LED indicates the device is booting or in standby. A steady Link LED means a valid HDBaseT connection. If the HDCP LED is off, the source or display may have HDCP compatibility issues.

Introduction

The Atlona HDMI over Single CAT5e/6 Distribution Series creates the ability to extend any HDMI source up to 130ft (40M). Using the AT-HD50RSL of the series you can cascade from a source to up to 10 devices and up to a combined distanced of 1300ft (400M).

Panel Description

AT-HD50SS

1. Signal LED: Green LED will light up when receiving an HDMI signal. The light will be off when receiving a DVI signal.

2. DIP Switch: Determines resolution and audio. See table below.

3. HDMI IN: HDMI/DVI source connects here. (a DVI to HDMI adapter will be needed to use a DVI source)

4. Audio OUT: Connect a 3.5mm cable to an analog audio device (AVR/Amp).

5. HDMI OUT: Loop out for in zone HDTV.

6. CAT5e/6 OUT: Use to connect to either AT-HD50RSL, AT-HD14SS, AT-HD19SS, AT-HDRS, or AT-HD15SRS. If connected to the AT-HD50RSL, AT-HD14SS, or AT-HD19SS cascading is possible.

7. 5V DC: Connect to the included power supply.

Warranty

Limited Warranty

Atlona Technologies warrants that (a) its products (AT-HD50SS, AT-HD50RSL, AT-HDRS, or AT-HD15SRS) will perform substantially in accordance with the accompanying written materials for a period of 3 years from the date of receipt and (b) that the product will be free from defects in materials and workmanship under normal use and service for a period of 3 years. In the event applicable law imposes any implied warranties, the implied warranty period is limited to 3 years from the date of receipt. Some jurisdictions do not allow such limitations on duration of an implied warranty, so the above limitation may not apply to customers that fall within those areas.

Customer Remedies

Atlona Technologies' and its suppliers' entire liability and Customer's exclusive remedy shall be, at Atlona Technologies' decision, either return of the price paid for the product, repair, or replacement of the product that does not meet this Limited Warranty and which is returned to Atlona Technologies with a copy of the Customer's receipt. This Limited Warranty is void if failure of the product has resulted from accident, abuse, misapplication, or natural occurrence. In example but not limited to: power surges (electrical storms, local power outage), dropping the product (or items on the product), contact with fluids, and physical misconduct (i.e. kicking or punching). Any replacement product will be warranted for the remainder of the original warranty period.

No other warranties

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Atlona Technologies and its suppliers disclaim all other warranties, either expressed or implied, including, but not limited to, implied warranties of merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose, with regard to the product and any related written materials. This Limited Warranty gives customer specific legal rights. Customers may have other rights depending on the jurisdiction.

No liability for damages

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, in no event shall Atlona Technologies or its suppliers be liable for any damages arising out of the use of or inability to use this product, even if Atlona Technologies has been advised of the possibility of such damages. Such damages include but are not limited to: special, incidental, consequential, or indirect damages for personal injury, loss of business profits, business interruption, loss of business information, or any other pecuniary loss. Atlona Technologies' and its suppliers' entire liability under any provision of this agreement shall be limited to the amount actually paid by you for the product. Some Jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion or limitation of liability for consequential or incidental damage. The above limitations may not apply to you in such jurisdictional cases.
