How do I install the CPL 4T ceiling speaker?

Use the cutout template to mark and cut a 243 mm hole in the ceiling. Connect speaker wire to the 4-position screw-terminal barrier strip, then attach a secondary support line from the seismic tab. Insert the speaker, tighten the four dog-leg screws to clamp it, and attach the magnetic grille.

How do I set the transformer tap for a 70V or 100V system?

Remove the grille to access the rotary tap selector switch. Turn it to the desired power setting: 15W, 7.5W, 3.75W, 1.9W, or 1W for 100V systems. For 70V, the same taps are available.

Can I aim the tweeter for better sound coverage?

Yes, gently grasp the tweeter flange and rotate it to point toward the desired listening area. Do not apply excessive force to avoid damaging the mounting post.

What is the recommended high-pass filter setting?

Use a 24 dB/oct Linkwitz-Riley high-pass filter at 80 Hz to optimize performance and protect the speaker from low frequencies.

What is the power handling at 8 ohms?

The speaker can handle up to 40 W at 8 Ω in low-impedance mode.

Take the cutout template from the packaging box and punch out along the larger perforated circle. Place the cutout template against the bottom of the ceiling and trace the inside of it. Carefully cut out the ceiling material along the circle.

Remove the top cover to contact the 4-position screw-terminal barrier strip on the back of the speaker. Connect the speaker wire to the 4-position screw-terminal barrier strip. Install the catheter and secure the connection.

Replace the top cover and tighten the screws. connector a secondary support line from the seismic tab to a secure support point.

Remove the grille and set the rotary tap selector switch. insert the speaker through the bottom of the hole in the ceiling.

Loosen the four screws on the front baffle (counter clockwise) 1/2 turn. Then tighten the screws (clockwise) until the dog legs clamp the speaker to the ceiling. Then install the speaker grille. CAUTION Do not over tighten screws.

The CPL4T tweeter can be aimed toward a desired listening area, so the clarity of the announcements or music can be improved. Carefully but firmly grasp the tweeter flange and aim the tweeter in the desired angle.

DO NOT APPLY EXCESSIVE FORCE, OR THE TWEETER MOUNTING POST MIGHT GET DAMAGED.
