How do I clean the VT500X after outdoor use?

For the waterproof capsule, you can rinse it with fresh water and gently dry with a soft cloth. Avoid using chemicals. The cable can be wiped clean. Do not submerge the connector. For windscreens, wash with mild soap and water, then air dry.

Does the VT500X require a battery?

No built-in battery. It is an electret condenser microphone that needs bias power (1.3 V typical, range 0.9–20 V) supplied by the connected device (wireless transmitter, mixer, or phantom adapter).

What windscreens are recommended for the VT500X?

Voice Technologies offers a Professional Windscreen (PW) and a Standard Windscreen (SW) for the VT500/506 series. For extreme outdoor use, a fur windscreen (like the WSi or WSC) can be used to reduce wind noise.
