Press Menu, go to Settings > System > Factory Reset. Enter the default password (usually 0000) and confirm. This will erase all custom settings.

What does the 'No Signal' message mean?

The TV is not receiving a signal from the selected input. Check that your device is powered on and cable is securely connected. Try a different HDMI port or change the input source.

Can I use a universal remote with this TV?

Connecting a TV Antenna

Requires a TV antenna (not included).

1. Connect a VHF, UHF, or HDTV antenna to the RF Input on the television.
2. Press the Source button to switch to TV mode.
3. Press the Setup button to access the setup menu.
4. Press the Arrow (◀ ▶) buttons to highlight the CHANNEL icon. Press the Enter button.
5. Press the Arrow (▲▼) buttons to highlight Air/Cable. Press the Arrow (◀▶) buttons to select AIR.
6. Press the Arrow (▲▼) buttons to highlight AUTO SCAN. Press the Enter button to begin scanning for available channels.

Connecting Basic Cable

Requires a cable connection.

1. Connect a cable to the RF Input on the television.
2. Press the Source button to switch to TV mode.
3. Press the Setup button to access the setup menu.

4. Press the Arrow (◀ ▶) buttons to highlight the CHANNEL icon. Press the Enter button.

5. Press the Arrow (▲▼) buttons to highlight Air/Cable. Press the Arrow (◀▶) buttons to select CABLE.

6. Press the Arrow (▲▼) buttons to highlight Auto Scan. Press the Enter button to begin scanning for available channels.

Connecting a Set-Top box

Requires a Set-Top Box (not included).

If your Set-Top Box has an HDMI Output:

- Connect the HDMI output on the Set-Top Box to the HDMI Input on the television using an HDMI cable (not included).

If your Set-Top Box has a Composite Video Output:

- Connect the video output on the Set-Top Box to the Composite Video Input on the television using an A/V RCA cable (not included). Connect the audio output on the Set-Top Box to the RCA Audio Input on the television.

If your Set-Top Box has a Component Video Output:

- Connect the component video output on the Set-Top Box to the Component Video Input on the television using a component RCA cable (not included). Connect the audio output on the Set-Top Box to the RCA Audio Input on the television.

After connecting your Set-Top Box:

- Press the Source button to switch to YPbPr/AV, or HDMI 1, 2 or 3 to match the connection used.

Auto Scanning for Channels

The Auto Channel Scan must be run before any channels can be viewed on the television.

1. Press the Source button to switch to TV mode.
2. Press the Setup button to access the setup menu.
3. Press the Arrow (◀ ▶) buttons to highlight the CHANNEL icon. Press the Enter button.
4. Press the Arrow (▲▼) buttons to highlight Air/Cable. Press the Arrow (◀▶) buttons to select AIR.
5. Press the Arrow (▲▼) buttons to highlight Auto Scan. Press the Enter button to begin scanning for available channels.

Note: Initial channel scanning process may take up to 15 min.

Favorites and Clock

Adding Favorites

1. Press the Source button to switch to TV mode.
2. Press the Setup button to access the setup menu.
3. Press the Arrow (◀ ▶) buttons to highlight the CHANNEL icon. Press the Enter button.
4. Press the Arrow (▲▼) buttons to highlight the Favorites icon. Press the Enter button.
5. Use the Arrow (▼▲) buttons to select the desired channels and then press the Enter button.

Viewing Favorites

1. Press the Source button to switch to TV mode.
2. Press the Favorites button to view a list of your saved favorites.

Setting the Clock

1. Press the Setup button to access the setup menu.
2. Press the Arrow (◀ ▶) buttons to highlight the TIME icon. Press the Enter button.
3. Press the Arrow (▲▼) buttons to highlight TIME ZONE. Press the Arrow (◀▶) buttons to select your current time zone.
4. Press the Arrow(▼▲) buttons to highlight AUTO CLOCK. Press the Arrow(◄►) buttons to turn auto clock off and on.
   When the correct time zone is set, auto clock will automatically set your clock and date for you.
5. To set the time and date manually, turn auto clock off, highlight CLOCK, and use the Arrow and Enter buttons to manually set the time and date.

TV Menu and Parental Controls

Parental Controls (V-Chip)

1. Press the Source button to switch to TV mode.
2. Press the Setup button.
3. Press the Arrow (◀ ▶) buttons, highlight LOCK, and press the Enter button.
4. The default passcode for the parental lock is:

1. Enter the passcode to access the LOCK preferences.
2. From this menu, you can lock specific ratings from the United States rating system or the Canadian rating system by accessing the V-CHIP settings. You can also lock the buttons on the television or lock specific sources from access.

DVD and CD

Note: This unit is not compatible with MP3 CDs.

Loading a DVD or CD

1. Insert a DVD or CD into the slot-load disc drive, with the label side of the DVD or CD facing the rear of the television.
   Once a DVD or CD is loaded into the television, the TV will automatically switch to DVD mode. This feature may not function in USB/SD mode.

Playing a DVD or CD

1. Follow the instructions for Loading a DVD or CD.
2. Press the Play/Pause button on remote to begin playing the loaded disc.

Programming a DVD or CD

1. While a DVD or CD is playing, press the Program button on the remote.
2. Using the Number Keypad enter in the chapters or tracks in the order you want them to play.
3. Highlight the on-screen Start button using the Arrow buttons and press the Enter button.
4. The programmed chapters and tracks will now play in the designated order.
5. To cancel a program, press the Stop button twice.

Ejecting a DVD or CD

1. Press the Eject button to eject the disc.

Note: The Eject button is located on the front of the unit.

DVD Setup Menu

In DVD mode, press the DVD Setup button to access the DVD setup menu. Press the DVD Setup button to exit the DVD setup menu.

Connecting Other Devices

Connecting a Set-Top Box

You will need: a set-top box, composite and RCA stereo cables or component and RCA stereo cables or an HDMI cable (not included).

1. Connect the set-top box's audio and video outputs to the corresponding audio and video inputs on the television.
2. Power the television on and press the Source button to switch to the connected input (YPbPr/AV, or HDMI 1,2 or 3).

Connecting a Gaming Device

You will need: a gaming device, composite and RCA stereo cables or component and RCA stereo cables or an HDMI cable (not included).

1. Connect the gaming device's audio and video outputs to the corresponding audio and video inputs on the television.
2. Power the television on and press the Source button to switch to the connected input (YPbPr/AV, or HDMI 1,2 or 3).

Connecting a DVD Player or VCR

You will need: a DVD player or VCR, composite and RCA stereo cables or component and RCA stereo cables or an HDMI cable (not included).

1. Connect the DVD player or VCR's audio and video outputs to the corresponding audio and video inputs on the television.
2. Power the television on and press the Source button to switch to the connected input (YPbPr/AV, or HDMI 1, 2 or 3).

Connecting Other Devices

Connecting a Computer

You will need: a PC with a VGA output, and a VGA cable (not included).

1. Connect the computer's VGA output to the VGA/PC Input on the television.
2. Power the television on and press the Source button to switch to the PC Mode.
3. Audio from the connected PC can be input to the television through the TV's PC Audio Input by using a 3.5mm audio cable (not included).

Using the Optical Audio Out

You will need: a (home theater) with an Optical Audio Input and a Digital Optical Audio Cable (not included).

1. Connect the Digital Optical Audio Cable to the (home theater system) and the television.
2. Adjust the settings on your (home theater) to play audio from the connected Optical Audio Input.

Please note: home theater systems may label the Optical Audio Input source differently, such as "PCM", or "Digital Audio Input". Please consult your home theater system's user manual in order to select the correct input source.

1. Audio from the television will now be played through the connected (home theater system).

Using the 3.5 MM Audio Out

Requires a 3.5 mm to RCA audio cable (included)

Note: This is not a headphone jack, please do not attempt to use headphones with this port.

1. Connect a 3.5 mm to RCA cable to the Audio Output on the unit and an audio input on an external stereo system.
2. Adjust the external stereo systems source to the input used in step one.
3. Audio played through the unit will now be heard through the connected stereo system.

USB and SD, MMC, MS Memory Card

Connecting a USB Thumb Drive

1. Load a USB thumb drive into the USB Port as shown in the image to the right.

Using a USB Thumb Drive

1. Follow the instructions for Connecting a USB thumb drive.
2. Press the Source button to switch to USB mode.
3. Use the Arrow and Enter buttons to select and play content from the connected USB thumb drive.
   Supports: MP3, JPEG, AVI, MPEG 1, 2 and 4

Connecting an SD, MMC, or MS Memory Card

1. Load an SD, MMC, or MS memory card into the Card Slot as shown in the image to the right.
