Open the battery cover, press the Reset button with a pin for 3 seconds. All settings, fingerprints, and codes will be erased. The lock will reboot.

The lock auto-locks after closing the door if Automatic Locking is enabled. To lock manually, press the Lock button on the keypad. The deadbolt will extend.

How to change the master PIN code?

Enter the current master PIN (default: 123456), press *, then 9, and follow the prompts to set a new code (4-10 digits). Confirm twice.

What happens if the battery dies while locked?

Use the emergency key (included) inserted into the keyhole on the exterior unit to unlock the door from outside. Replace batteries immediately.

Can I use the lock with a smart home system?

The SHS-G517 is a standalone lock. It does not have Wi-Fi or Bluetooth built-in. For smart features, consider the Samsung SHS-H705 or newer models.

Set up Instructions for Alarm and Anti unlock functic

Alarm function

When this function is activated, an alarm sound and light will turn on for approximately 5 minutes duration.

Anti-Bypass function

When this function is activated, the internal handle will become tightened to prevent bypass attempts through door edge tools will be minimized.

Set up the Alarm function

When the door is closed, user can set up the alarm function by pressing and holding the

[💡] button for 3 seconds until sound confirmation.

Set up the Anti-Unlock function

Press [*] and hold.

After 3 seconds, the alarm will be come active.

Release the Alarm function Release the Anti-Bypass function

Touch the keypad to turn on.

Present a registered RF tags/card or password and press [*] to release.

Press the [CLOSE] button to release the internal handle from Anti-Bypass function.

When this function is active, it may be harder to pull the internal handle for elderly or children to open the door from inside.
