CONGRATULATIONS!
Thank You for purchasing the Wet Sounds STX MICRO amplifier.
Wet Sounds professional marine audio products represent the ultimate in high performance marine audio. Wet Sounds products are specifically engineered to withstand the rigorous marine environment.
The STX MICRO amplifiers are state of the art Class D amplifiers designed to provide great amplification in a small space for your marine or off-road audio system. The STX MICRO-4 is a 4 channel full range amplifier with fully variable high pass and low pass crossovers enabling it to drive a wide variety of either full range speakers or subwoofers. The STX MICRO-1 is a Mono-Block Class D amplifier that is designed to drive subwoofers. Both amplifiers are equipped with 3.5mm inputs and have wide enough gain range to accept a direct input from a smartphone or other portable device. The STX MICRO-4 also has a pass through output that enables connection to either the STX-MICRO-1 or a Wet Sounds ST-AS10/AS6 amplified subwoofers. The die cast aluminum chassis on the STX MICRO amplifiers are sealed to withstand use in extreme environments.
Please take a moment to read the instruction manual before starting your installation. If you have any questions or concerns, please contact your certified Wet Sounds dealer or Wet Sounds:

3.ATURES AND CONTROLS - STX MICRO-1
The STX MICRO-1 is a mono block amplifier that is designed to exclusively drive subwoofers. The fully variable crossover can be adjusted from 50Hz to 250Hz to fine tune the amplifier for the subwoofer enclosure and speakers being used in the system.
- Low Pass Filter. This sets the lower limit of the frequency range for the amplifier. When the Low Pass Filter is set to 80Hz, the amplifier will pass all frequencies 80Hz and below.
- Sensitivity. This control is used to match the input of the amplifier to the source unit. The higher the sensitivity the sooner the amp will reach maximum output.
- Bass Boost. This is an equalization control that allows emphasis to be put on one frequency (45Hz) to increase the amplifier's output at that one frequency. The farther to the right this control is set, the more output the amplifier will have at 45Hz. Care should be taken when using this control. Excessive bass boost can damage subwoofers!
- Phase Control. This will reverse the phase of the subwoofer. The best way to set this is by ear. Whichever sounds best should be set and left alone.
- Subsonic Filter. Asking the amplifier to amplify frequencies below the tuning or audible range of the subwoofer will cause the amplifier to work less efficiently. Adjusting this setting slightly below the tuning frequency of the enclosure will result in more efficient and reliable operation.
- Power/Protect Indicator. This indicator will light up RED upon initial amp start up. If all connections are OK, within 3-5 seconds the light will turn to BLUE. If a condition of protect (short circuit, over/under voltage) occurs the light will turn to RED until the condition of protect is resolved.
The STX MICRO-4 is an 80-watt four channel full range class D amplifier. This versatile amp may be used to drive 2 or 4 full range channels, or the front channel outputs for full range speakers and the rear channel outputs for subwoofers, or any combination of these.
- Crossover Controls HPF. The High Pass Filter sets the upper frequency range for that channel. When the High Pass Filter is set to 800 Hz, that channel will pass all frequencies 800Hz and above.
- Crossover Control FLAT. This will disable the crossover — allow all frequencies to pass.
- Crossover Control LPF. The Low Pass Filter sets the lower frequency range for that channel. When the Low Pass Filter is set to 80Hz, that channel will pass all frequencies 80Hz and below.
- Sensitivity. This control is used to match the input of the amplifier to the source unit. The higher the sensitivity the sooner the amp will reach maximum output.
- Frequency Controls. These are used to select the frequency for the Crossover Controls.
- Channel Select. In 2 channel mode, all 4 speakers will play using only the FRONT input. In 4 channel mode — front and rear speakers are independent and must receive both a FRONT and REAR input. When using the STX MICRO-4 in Bridged Mode this switch should be in the “2CH” position.
BEFORE ANY INSTALLATION IS BEGUN — DISCONNECT THE BATTERY!
- Power (RED) Connection. It is recommended that the power connection be run directly to the vehicle's battery. Run a minimum 8 Gauge wire with a fuse at the battery. Be sure that the outboard dual ATC fuse holder stays close to the amplifier. FAILURE TO USE THE SUPPLIED OUTBOARD FUSES IN THE INSTALLATION IS DANGEROUS AND WILL VOID THE WARRANTY!
- Ground (BLACK) Connection. This should be connected to chassis ground where possible. If the vehicle does not have a chassis ground, run a wire directly to the negative side of the battery.
- Remote Turn-On (BLUE) Connection. This should be connected to a wire that supplies +12V when powered on. The BLUE wire must receive +12V for the amplifier to power on.
- Speaker (Black and Black/White) Connections. Connect these to the Positive and Negative terminals of the subwoofer. Be sure the total impedance of the subwoofers does not fall below 2 Ohms!
- Input. Connect this to the output of the source unit or the pass-through output of the STX MICRO-4. This connector is designed to accept a 3.5mm male plug. An RCA style adaptor such as the Wet Sounds WW-RCA-3.5mm 2ft can be used if the source has RCA style connectors.

Front Left Positive Speaker White (Bridged Front +)
Front Left Negative Speaker White / Black
Front Right Positive Speaker Grey
Front Right Negative Speaker Grey / Black (Bridged Front -)
Rear Left Positive Speaker Green (Bridged Rear +)
Rear Left Negative Speaker Green / Black

- Front and Rear Inputs. Connect to the output of the source unit or BT controller. These connectors are designed to accept a 3.5mm male plug. An RCA style adaptor such as the Wet Sounds WW-RCA-3.5mm 2ft can be used if the source has RCA style connectors.
- Pass Through Output. Use this output if you need to feed signal to the input on an additional amplifier – such as the STX MICRO-1 or a Wet Sounds ST-AS10/AS6 amplified subwoofer. This will pass the same signal that is present at the front input, avoiding the need for any Y adaptors.
