Frequently Asked Questions - PTC09 N'oveen

How do I clean the N'oveen PTC09 heater?
Turn off and unplug the heater. Use a soft brush or vacuum to clean the air intake and outlet grilles. Do not use water or solvents. Wipe the exterior with a dry cloth.
What does the tip-over safety feature do?
If the heater accidentally tips over, an internal switch automatically cuts off power to prevent fire hazards. The heater must be placed upright to resume operation.
Can I leave the heater on overnight?
While the PTC09 has safety features like overheat protection and tip-over shut-off, it is not recommended to leave it unattended for extended periods. Use the timer to set an automatic shut-off.
How do I set the timer on the N'oveen PTC09?
Press the Timer button repeatedly to cycle from 0.5 to 12 hours in 0.5-hour increments. The display will show the remaining time. The heater will automatically turn off after the set time.
What is the difference between Low and High heat settings?
The Low setting uses 750W and is suitable for maintaining warmth in a small room. The High setting uses 1500W for faster, more powerful heating. Use the Fan Only mode for air circulation without heat.
Does the heater come with a remote control?
Yes, the N'oveen PTC09 includes a remote control that allows you to adjust temperature, fan speed, oscillation, and timer from a distance.
Is the heater safe for use in bathrooms?
The PTC09 is not designed for damp or wet locations. It should be used in dry indoor areas only. Keep it at least 3 feet away from water to avoid electric shock.
How does the oscillation work?
Press the Oscillation button on the unit or remote to activate side-to-side movement. The heater will rotate up to 70 degrees, distributing heat more evenly across the room.
What should I do if the heater stops working suddenly?
Check if the unit has tipped over (tip-over switch activates), if the thermostat has reached the set temperature (it will cycle on/off), or if the overheat protection has triggered. If the problem persists, contact N'oveen support.
Can I use an extension cord with the PTC09?
It is not recommended. Plug the heater directly into a wall outlet. Using an extension cord may cause overheating or fire. If absolutely necessary, use a heavy-duty cord rated for at least 15 amps.
