ADS48 UHF Antenna Distribution System

OVERVIEW

The Audix ADS48 is a wide range UHF antenna distribution system that combines up to four wireless systems to be able to run off a single pair of antennas and power supply. The ADS48 has an internal switching power supply which eliminates the need for the individual DC power supplies normally needed for each receiver. RF signals are internally amplified in order to compensate for any loss that may result from splitting the signal.

SETTING UP THE DISTRIBUTION SYSTEM

FRONT MOUNTING ANTENNAS (Do this step before installing in rack)

A. Remove the hex nut from the threaded end of the front mount antenna cable.

B. Insert the end of the front mounting cable through the back side of the rack hole. Note that the hole is slotted on one side – it can only go in one way. Screw on the hex nut to secure.

C. Attach the antenna cable on the left side to antenna A INPUT and the cable on the right side of the unit to antenna B INPUT. Install the ADS48 into the rack. (See B and F below)

ADDITIONAL RECEIVERS: All cables are connected from the back side of the ADS48 to the back side of the additional receiver(s).

Using the BNC antenna coax cable, connect output Antenna A #1 from the ADS48 (see E above) to Antenna A on the Performance Series receiver and Antenna B #1 from the ADS48 (see C above) to Antenna B on the Performance Series receiver. Additional receivers are done in exactly the same way.

IMPORTANT: Antennas must be hooked up correctly A to A and B to B to work properly.

CABLE INSTRUCTION FOR POWER DISTRIBUTION: All cables

are connected from the back side of the ADS48 to the back side of the additional receiver(s).

Using the power jumper cables plug one side of the cable into DC Output #1 on the ADS48 (see D above) and the other end to the DCV Input on the Performance Series receiver. Additional receivers will be done in the same sequence.

Power Cable: Plug the provided IEC power cable into the back of the ADS48 and then plug into electrical outlet. (see A above)

Power up the ADS48 via the power switch on the front. The light will indicate that the unit is powered up. The ADS48 acts as the master power unit for all receivers in the chain. Receivers will not power up without the master power switch being on.

SERVICE AND WARRANTY: This microphone is under warranty for a period of 1 year to be free of defects in material and workmanship. In the event of a product failure due to materials or workmanship, Audix will repair or replace said product at no charge with proof of purchase. Audix does not pay or reimburse shipping costs for warranty repairs or returns. The warranty excludes any causes other than manufacturing defects, such as normal wear, abuse, environmental damage, shipping damage or failure to use or maintain the product per the supplied instructions. No Implied Warranties: All implied warranties, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose are hereby excluded. The liability of Audix, if any, for damages relating to allegedly defective products shall be limited to the actual price paid by Dealer for such products and shall in no event include incidental or consequential damages of any kind.
